Don't be fooled by the name - I'm not actually a knitter, I chose that name ages ago on yahoo and decided to keep it for consistencies sake.
I'm a 29 year old textile design graduate from Scotland currently working in a factory while I figure out the next step for me. In my spare time I sell hand-made goth and emo clothing on ebay.
I recently moved back in with my parents and my disabled brother, between us we own one dog, five cats and a tortoise! My boyfriend is an artist dealing in surreal dreamscapes, he is nuts about everything to do with space and astronomy.
I LOVE progressive rock - early Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd etc. I love Peter Gabriel, Brian Eno, U2, David Bowie and Talking Heads and anything whimsical or psychedelic like the Flaming Lips and Mercury Rev. I like nineties alternative rock like Kristen Hersh, Bob Mould, Nirvana, The Pixies etc.
Anything to do with any sort of paper crafting, painting and drawing, and I also do a bit of sewing. I want to try my hand at ATCs soon and I keep meaning to get around to jewellery making.
Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaimen, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Poppy Z Brite, Douglas Coupland, The Little Prince, Watership Down, American Psycho
Anything a bit odd - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amelie, the Wicker Man, my Neighbour Totoro, Clockwork Orange, Withnail and I, Lost in Translation, Run Lola Run, Blade Runner, The Virgin Suicides, Anime (especially Studio Ghibli)... oh, and for some reason I am OBSESSED with Gladiator, I've watched it millions of times and I named my kitty Maximus after the main character.
I love anything to do with Japan - more traditional stuff as well as anime/kawaii things. In fact everything Asian, I love china and India too.
Nostalgia also does it for me, I like Victoriana and anything vintage looking.
My fave colours are deep jewel tones, especially burgundy and emerald green, and shockingly bright colours. I love glitter and metallic. I like paisley patterns and anything ethnic, and rich, textured, heavily decorated designs - I'm going for a sort of eastern harem feel with my bedroom decor, but it's turned out more like an explosion in a thrift shop :(
I love retro sixties and seventies design, and will spend hours trawling flea markets etc looking for original pieces. These often get 'gifted' to my boyfriend (translation - I don't have enough room anymore so I stash them at his) and now he's complaining that HIS flat looks like an explosion in a thrift shop too!
I'm really just a hippy at heart, I collect anything new age/mystical/witchy - incense, crystals, fairies, tarot, candles etc. I waver between spirituality and downright atheism but I am fascinated by all religions.
I don't drive but I love anything to do with Volkswagon Beetles and retro scooters like Vespa and Lambretta.
My fave smells are patchouli and anything earthy and spicy or sweet like vanilla, and my fave flavours are cinnamon and aniseed. I drink WAY too much coffee, and every now and then I try to de-tox with herbal tea.
I am obsessed with cats and kittens, although I also like foxes, frogs, goldfish, rats (my beloved pet rat Christopher passed away last year) and squirrels.
I can never have enough dinky little notebooks/journals/sketch books, stickers, postcards, fridge magnets, pens/pencils, stationery, mix CDs, zines or badges.
My personal style is probably best described as grunge/gothic, but I'm a secret girly-girl really and love anything pink sparkly or cute.
I love the word 'love' and I love over using it when writing profiles :-D
Very short list, I'm very easy going, however, I'm not fond of pastels or yellow and I'm scared of puppets, clowns and scarecrows.
Also, I love nearly all of gods creatures, I even have a soft spot for spiders, but I hate dolphins. I hope that doesn't make me a bad person, I know lots of people adore dolphins and collect anything to do with them, but I can't stand them.
Nearly forgot - I hardly watch any TV, but I will not go without Doctor Who. I've been a complete Doctor Who geek for years, and I am loving the new ones. I know it's wrong, but John Simm as The Master makes me go a bit wibbly.

Have you sent out my CD yet? I haven't received :(
