i'm married with w 2 kids, one little one not so little. i'm a teacher, an artisan, a crafter, a semi-seamstress. I love fabric & love beads... i love to create. i'm self taught, i guess i like to learn by messing up & trying again til i get it correct, i'm a great cook-at least my family thinks so

i'm a sucker for books.... especially crafting books. i love the Amy Butler In Stitches book and I love the kids Usborne Art Books, i love the Toot & Puddle children's books, harry potter, mary higgins clark, the Bible

making jewelry:stringing w/glass, sterling & natural stones (love love turquoise!), a little soldering, a little wirework, a little bit of pmc., sewing-mostly for my daughters, starting to sew for myself (like amy butler, joel dewberry favrics), sew home dec projects, painting, re-purposing furniture, dabble in embroidery, recently got a torch & hope to make some beads

love to dabble in decorating my home and doing DIY projects around the house, playing in my little garden watching my tomatoes grow, trying to organize things, i have a red dining room that i love & a yellow kitchen that i don't (wrong yellow), a brown bathroom that i'm happy with, i love my little front porch, i don't like my front flower bed

i like most colors, love the pink/brown, pink/lime green, turq/brown color combos - even though i love most colors (not a huge fan of orange though)- i almost always pick out clothing for myself that is black, grey, white or heather?? go figure - am trying to branch out of this though

glass beads - especially lampwork, funky shapes/colors, swarovski, natural beads-freshwater pearls, turquoise, smokey quartz, labradorite, sterling beads/wire, sewing-lots of cotton, knits-w/euro patterns, tencel. i use canvas board, watercolor paper, watercolors, acrylic paint, love the spongey throw away brushes, oil pastels, chalk pastels, charcoal pencils, silvergleam solder (leadfree), glass, glass slides, antique vintage buttons & fabrics, embroidery floss (dmc) or handdyed, plates-vintage

i collect old fiestaware - i dont' have much, i use new fiesta dishes everyday, i collect vintage linens-don't have many, but do have a few cherished tablecloths, napkins, and towels, i collect little vintage/antique perfume bottles, also collect vintage black and white photos, vintage postcards (especially french), vintage valentines, vintage buttons, vintage typewriter keys

i'm only 5' a 1/2" tall, i've been known to buy childrens shoes-my foot fits in them & they're cheaper, i like my eyes & eyelashes, i don't like my short toes, i don't like to be bare foot, i always get messy when cooking, i don't have any pets, i don't like eggplant or sweet potatoes, i love broccolli, i think white chocolate is for wimps, i love dark chocolate, hot tamales (candies) i crave them when i sew & don't know why
