A 24-year-old (dork) female living in a small city in eastern Kentucky. I ran across this little gem of a website during a google search (can't quite remember what i was searching for now) And thought, "Hmm...that sounds like a neat idea!" I currently work as a lab rat in a water analysis lab. Pretty interesting stuff sometimes! I love to read, write, draw, listen to music, play video games, watch films, and discover new things. Hmmm....my favorite colors are red, black, and pink. I also enjoy randomness, medieval things, renaissance faires, swords, cute things, Pokemon, Harry Potter, anime, steampunk, cool hats, and lots of other things.
I would like to think that I like a vast array of music. Favorite bands include Say Anything, Alkaline Trio, The Dubliners, Alanis Morrissette, As I Lay Dying, Emilie Autumn, Hellogoodbye, The Offspring, and Led Zeppelin. Anything with a piano in it is perfection to me. I have an acute obsession with 90's alternative music, as well as classic rock. I am, at the moment, absolutely obsessed with Macklemore.
I will read anything and everything at least once. I don't think a day passes that I don't read SOMETHING. From the classics, to fantasy, to mystery, to the daily newspaper, I simply can't get enough of reading and learning new things! My favorite author would have to be Edgar Allan Poe. Lately...I've been reading a lot of fantasy and science fiction works for young adults. But...like I said, I'll read anything.
I absolutely love Disney movies. And, at the same time, horror is possibly my favorite genre. I will watch anything that grabs my attention for a second. Though....I tend to steer away from too much romantic comedy....or romance in general. I suppose I'm not exactly the average girl.
Cutesy, hand-made things make me squee. Anime-inspired hats and modded Steampunk crafts brighten my day. I am also attempting to create a steampunk look for either this Halloween or the next, so any cogs or antique-y things are fabulous~.
I am currently in the process of saving monies to move into a new apartment, and I would love, love, LOVE receiving inexpensive wall/shelf/desk decorations. I haven't quite decided on a style yet, but am looking towards either a minimalist approach or something antiquey.
