I love to knit. I love to read. I love to read and knit.

I have 3 sons in college or working, so I'm an empty nester who is 'in love for all the right reasons' this time around! Who knew you'd find the right person when you stop looking?!? My Sweetie's life was way too boring before meeting me! Now we're having fun learning from each other.

I run an STD/Teen Pregnancy Prevention program at a local Philadelphia High School. I love my job. The students are silly and needy. I do love to be needed! And, yes they do call me the 'Condom Lady'!

My favorite colors are blue, purple, blue, turquoise, blue, black & white (to match my hair!), blue and blue.

I confess, I'm an obsessed knitter with about 5 dozen projects currently on needles. I do finish items--ok, so maybe it is several years after I started the darn thing! I don't often have completed projects to give at the appropriate time. The people who know and love me expect tank tops in Feburary and mittens in June! Thank goodness my sweetie is showing sufficient appreciation and admiration for his Christmas socks. He'll get another pair for his birthday (in August!)

I'm glad I've discovered swaps. As the mother of three young men who have no appreciation for my taste, knitting or otherwise, I LOVE the idea of thinking about and shopping or crafting for other people. OMG! And receiving stuff in the mail?!. Life doesn't get better than that!

Mmmmm, tough one! Classical, especially Bach and Vivaldi. I like elevator music, music you can sing to and music you can dance to. Whatever matches my current mood...

Oh, just about anything by Asimov. I love, love, love anthologies--mystery, sci-fi, regency romance. I adore gardening and cookbooks. I've started reading the Young Adult fiction at our High School Library to try to keep up with the students. HooBoy! Some of the stuff they read!!

Raising three sons I saw every movie that had a monsters, a car chase, collasping buildings and lots of bullets. Ok, I admit it I loved Beetlejuice, Witches and Ghostbusters. There! It's out there!

These days I tend to choose silly romances, quiet English movies and pre 1970 Classics.

I don't watch TV. If one of my sons' friends is playing for a school team, or it's Big 5 basketball time, I go to the neighborhood sports bar and watch.

I do miss those cooking shows, though...

Knitting, making stitch markers for my knitting, hand sewing, knitting and knitting.

I do love to feed people. I garden so I can bring flowers inside and grow veggies and herbs to cook with. Trying new recipes is always fun, too.

Then my knitting calls me...

I absolutely love... Recipes, Local/Regional pictures and stories and cookbooks, Garden stuff, Kitchen gadgets, Refrigerator magnets, Flavored coffee and tea, Used books, Anything yarn and knitting related, Pretty paper,fabric or beads, totebags (read knitting project bags!).

I really don't do... Jewelry (unless it's for my knitting!), make up, stickers or tatoos(3 sons, remember?).
