Response: That's really frustrating to me since, if you look below, you'll find that all people received my pics of the mannequin arms sticking out of the garbage. I've got extras, but they're at home, and I'm in New Orleans. I've been there since June 27 and won't be back home to even look for another one of those photos until I get back on August 7.
Response: Hey. I'm glad you got your stuff. I get so disgusted that it takes sooooooo long to reach Canada. I could probably drive it up there quicker...lol. As for the drinking age, I agree with the students about lowering the age. I just get grumpy about students ALWAYS choosing that for their subject matter :)
Response: Hi Lois. I realized after I sent the package off that I forgot to send the card I'd written. I'll get it in the mail...sorry about that.
Response: Thanks junemoon. It seems that there are always interesting "characters" when I go there. I do all of my grading there. I sit there and drink ice tea and grade and eavesdrop :)
Response: thanks for reading it. I enjoyed writing it and plan to do more people watching and turning them into short stories. It got my creative juices flowing :)
Response: glad you like the CD, zine and such. I'm enjoying your CD as well :)
Response: I'm glad you liked the box and goodies. I found the box in a thrift store. Originally, it was decoupaged with ugly yellow and blue napkins...lol. I'm glad you liked the metal molds too. My boss always gives me product samples, and I didn't see any use for them, but I thought they might work well for texturing your beads. Best (and thanks for being patient while I recreated...)--wendy
Response: Thanks! Many are from a box of art postcards, but they seemed to be speaking...lol...don't tell anyone I was hearing voices :) I hope you send one my way with dialogue :)
Response: Thanks! These were my first zentangles, and the "no instructions" part of it made me very nervous!
Response: Hi! I'm glad you liked the antique kitties. I found them at a local thrift store. The stationary is made by a woman on the Oregon coast. She specializes in kitty stuff. I like all the silliness of "RoMEOW and JuliCAT" :)
Response: Thanks! I hadn't used those red jewels and thought they'd be good on a dark ATC. The verses were from a book of poems I found in a thrift store. It's amazing how many were about death...lol
Response: I'm so proud of my zine that I've been sending it out with all my swaps! lol...I'm glad you liked your package.
Response: I'm glad you liked everyone. You're right about the hoarding...I do do that...but it feels good to give it when I can. Yes, I did make the notecards. And the zine is my first. I've been so proud of it that I've been sending it out to anyone I can shove it upon...lol!
Response: thank you. I enjoy sharing my crafts and crafting supplies when I can. It's a "random acts of kindness" thing...when I feel it, I do it!
Response: Hi sararenee. I'm glad you liked it. It was my first. Now I have two under my belt and hope to keep making zines and swapping them on here. Hope to swap with you soon!
Response: I'm glad you liked it. I enjoy making cards and like to give them when I can! I guess I'm trying to do my part to make sure that the hand-written letter survives via my cards!
Response: I'm glad you like the perzine. It's my second zine, and I really like them :)
Response: You're welcome. I "enjoyed" taking a stroll down heartbreak lane...:)A cover mix swap would be cool.
Response: I did make those cards :)When I sent them, I was hoping they weren't too "girly"...lol. The one with the collage in the middle is actually made using nail polish. It's my favorite technique. I'm glad you like the music. Hope to trade music with you soon.
Response: Thanks ivoryblushroses. I enjoyed putting together the project. It helped me realize just how beautiful my neighborhood is...I forget sometimes and to walk around and really pay attention is vital!
Response: Thanks. I had a great time making my first zine. In fact, it got kind of spendy with the photocopying because I loved the colors in the old book images and my photographs and wanted to share that with my swap partners.
Response: I tend toward the more accoustic-y, mellow side of music, so hopefully you'll put it on when you're in a mellow mood :) Cheers!
Response: I'm glad you liked the CD and cards. I thought it would be fun to give you a taste of my artistic style as well as my musical style :)
Response: Thanks! I enjoyed making them for you.
Response: Thank you Moominbrooke! It was a fun challenge!
Response: Thanks! The red paint is actually nail polish. I checked out a crafting book from the library and it had this techique where you drip nail polish into a pan full of water, and the polish sits on top. Then you put a piece of paper on top of the water and grab the paint. I enjoy learning new techniques. The "alter your destiny" comes from great text I found in my stamping magazines!
Response: Thank you! I'm really enjoying collage and have since incorporated it into two other swaps via swapbot. It sounds industrious, but my goal is to do a collage (like the red and green ones I sent you) in EVERY color of the rainbow!
Response: Thank you! I enjoyed participating in the swap and LOVE to do collages...let me know any time you plan to host something similar!
