Things that you could include would be:

  • ribbon, emroider floss, beading cord, and fillaments
  • crystals, beads, rhinestones and charms
  • brads and eyelets
  • stickers
  • jewelry making supplies

Please check your partners profile for color preferences and additional ideas, and make sure that what you send is something that you would love to receive! For hearts, send 18 eggs in an 18-egg cardboard egg carton.

As requested, here's my list of this that I would love to get in my eggs: ribbon, charms, beads, eyelets, brads, buttons, polymer clay things . . . That's all that I can think of really. I'm sure that I can use whatever you decide to send. I like to make matchboxes, so I would love to get themed items and tiny little things to put inside. I don't really need jewelry making supplies (except for eye pins) since I don't make jewelry. I would really love something with polka dots if you have something extra lying around. :)

I just finished decorating my carton last night. Now I just need to find out what to fill my eggs with!

Sorry for the imposition of asking ya'll to post info on what sort of supplies ya'll could use!

As for me, the things I always seem to run out of fastest are jewelry clasps, chain, jump rings, glass and crystal beads, ribbon, filament (I've heard others call it "metallic embroidery floss"), trim (lace, fringe, etc.), essential oils, and sequins. I have enough buttons and charms to last a lifetime (but I love them, especially if they're unique). I'm a challenge because I don't use any colors other than white, black and red (or their variations, such as grey, silver, and sometimes pink), but I make things for people who actually like colors, so don't feel restricted. In essence, I can't think of many things that I can't find a use for because I can do a little bit of everything and sometimes venture from my routine of clothing reconstruction and jewelry making to create stationary, make candles, and so on.

I don't know if this helps, but I'm Catholic and my patron is the Virgin Mother (although I do lean towards Paganism because I'm a bad Catholic, heh), so I love medallions and four-way crosses / cruciforms... I live in a place with an extremely low population of Catholics and we don't have a Catholic supply store here, argh. Right now I'm itching for Lent to be over with so that I can eat a steak. Why did I have to give up meat? ::moans::

Now all I can think about are cows walking into Outback's kitchen with huge grins on their faces... heh.

TheFallingAngel- I think it's so funny you mention cows and The Outback....I love The Outback ......one time I actually ate 3 servings of prime rib....two of which were the largest cuts > I have one of their coasters on my mirror it says "I'm so hungry I could eat a cow." LOL

I am a vintage/retro freak - bits and bobbles that fit that theme make me do the happy dance!!
I also love making ATC's and altered matchboxes - anything I could use for that would be GREAT! (ribbon, lace, unusual buttons, feathers, glitter, charms, brads, paper flowers...).
I'm gettin' goofy for plastic gumball machine charms (vintage) - if you can find me some of these... let's just say there are not enough hearts on swap-bot to give you!
Hope that helps!

eor - Outback is my favorite steakhouse! I got hooked when I was pregnant and started craving their baked potato soup. I'm still upset that it isn't on the menu anymore. :-( I love the lobster/crab cakes that they have now... mmm.

Just a few more weeks! I couldn't go there and just order fish while my husband grins and eats a steak. Blargh.

What would tickle my fancy (among many other things): *ribbon *buttons *charms *paper *interesting med. to lg. beads (I have TONS of seed beads) *glitter *brads *jump rings *I, too, have been LOVING the plastic cracker jack-type charms *fun 1" buttons *anything owl or coffee themed *essential oils (Lavender & Bergamont or any other) *empty matchboxes *deco tape (with no japanese words *small rolls of solid color tape *Flat backed rhinestones (tiny to medium sized) *fun magnets *dark chocolate--which most will agree is ESSENTIAL to crafting *polymer clay & tools (I don't have any yet) *rubber stamps *small paper punches *glue dots *anything I can alter *chipboard pieces--would LOVE LOVE LOVE *game pieces--especially scrabble tiles *foam shapes (the kind with adhesive on the back) *rub-ons *thick plastic or acrylic pieces (shapes or not, I can cut it)

These are simply ideas, I'm sure if you just look at my profile you'll be able to come up with other ideas too. If you are unsure, please just message me. Have fun! This is the March swap I'm REALLY looking forward to.

P.S. I'm using a CLEAR egg carton (Eggland's Best, I think). It's SO cool.

TheFallenAngel 03/ 1/2008 #
