Funky handspun yarn swap

You will have one partner to send to, and you will send them ONE skein of a funky handspun yarn. By “funky� I mean a yarn that has funky stuff either plied or spun into the yarn. Funky stuff can be glittery, bead-y, extra stuff-y … you name it! Prepare to be surprised by your partner’s creativity! Yarn for this swap can be purchased, or some that you’ve made yourself.

Examples of purchased yarn are from places like Material Whirled (http://www.materialwhirled.com/One-of-a-Kind-Yarns-c-1.html ), Insubordiknit (http://www.insubordiknit.com/yarn/ ) or various Etsy sellers (http://www.etsy.com/searchresults.php?searchtype=tagtitle&searchquery=funky+handspun+yarn ). Do make sure that your purchased yarn has a minimum value of $20.00 BEFORE shipping costs.

If you are spinning your own yarn – please purchase a minimum of 3 oz to spin however you’d like. You may spin however you’d like – single-ply, bulky, etc. – just please make sure this is a funky yarn with funky stuff included.

You can include extra stuff for hearts – goodies (tea, chocolate), knitterly things (stitch markers, a pattern suggestion) or just fun stuff (music CD’s, stationery). None of this, however, is required – only the yarn.

We’ll have 3 weeks to get our yarn together – please do leave comments to this if you’d like to request something in particular. However, as this is a funky yarn swap, be prepared for a surprise in the mail!
