Description:

Being an artist and creator of handmade journals using handmade paper and selling them at www.IndianJournals.etsy.com ; I now crave to see journals from other journals makers :)

This swap is open worldwide for other journal making enthusiasts. THIS SWAP IS ALSO OPEN FOR JOURNAL LOVERS. There is absolutely no hard and fast rule on how your journal design or style should be. It is completely your choice. It is however always nice to read the recipients profile to understand his/her likes or dislikes. YOU ARE ALLOWED TO SEND INTERESTING AND BEAUTIFUL STORE BOUGHT JOURNALS TOO - however please ensure that they need to be really beautiful and worth receiving. I mean you should like to receive the same thing that you choose to send.

Each Journal should be bound and should be a minimum of 6 x 4 inches and have 30 pages. You can of course send a bigger and a thicker journal if you wish !

Please note that the journal must be un-used and preferably completely handmade. However, if the journal is partially handmade - thats also fine. Infact you can even send store bought journals which you feel are really interesting. The papers can be patterned or blank - but as long as someone can use them or write over them.

I encourage the recipients to rate a 5 if you receive a 4 inch by 6 inch journal. Rate a 5, even if you don't like it!! You are NOT rating on the quality or design of the journal or on whether or not you like it. Since this is a "senders choice" swap, your partner is not required to read your profile first.

Who can or cannot participate: no "one" or unexplained "three" ratings within the last 6 months.

Please note: All journals must be sealed in a plastic sleeve / cover before being put in the final envelope to protect it from getting soiled. All packages must include your name and swapbot user ID on a separate paper for quick identification.

As a friendly suggestion - it would be great if the packages include a little note or a letter for the recipient. It would just make this swap more friendly and warm :)

Feel free to get in touch with me incase you have any questions.

Hello Vishruti. I hope to join another of these. Just waiting to see if we are moving or not and as soon as I know I'll be back into it. x

Hi! What about altered composition books as journals? Ive got so many projects going right now, but could manage to do an altered journal book cover! :) BTW your journals are amazing and beautiful! Could even buy one of yours and send to our partner too, right?

ps.. I would feel better about signing up for this swap if it mattered the quality of the journal received... its disheartening to send a nice journal (or whatever) and get a junky one in return...(re: rating a 5 regardless of quality, etc)

I will be buying one as I've never made one before. I'm super excited for this swap!
