Favorite Children's Book and Book List

Anyone else out there have a love of children's literature? Are there children's books that you love so much and want to share them with others? Are you always looking for new great books to buy your kids? This swap is for three things.

1. A list of your 5 favorite young children's books.
2. A new copy of one of the books on your list.
3. A short note, 3-5 sentences, about why you like the book you chose to send.

A couple of rules - You will have 1 partner to whom you will send 1 list of 5 books and 1 book from the list with accompanying note about said book.

No Dr. Seuss or Little Golden Books. Yes, some of them are wonderful, and are probably among the favorites of many people, but we all already know about them and this swap is about discovering and sharing children's literature that isn't quite that obvious and well known.

Although it says this above, I will repeat it, the book you send must be new and it must be on your list of top 5 children's books.

You may send hardcover or softcover, whatever you wish. Softcover books will save you on shipping costs.

These books should be for ages 3-5 - preschool and kindergarten age. No board books, no chapter books. Some examples of books for this age range are Blueberries for Sal, Harold and the Purple Crayon, Little Bear....

This swap is for US ONLY. If there is enough interest I will do an international one next.

Newbies are welcome with completed profiles. No no sends in the last 3 months. I may angel this swap, but let's hope I don't have to. After all, this is in part for the children.

If someone has done this before and wants credit, let me know so I can give it to you.
