Description:
you will be swapping a plastic soda bottle full of ephemera. i am talking about one of those single sodas you buy at the convenience store. (20 oz size) You will be sending the bottle itself through the mail. it can be filled with papers, buttons, charms, fabrics, stickers, beads, chop sticks, paint brushes, gel pens, colored pencils, the list goes on and on... please no junk. send items that you would use in your art making. for best results, put your addresses on the out side of the bottle then cover them with packing tape then tape around the lid also. another tip - cut a door into the side of the bottle for easy placement of items. this will be for USA swappers only due to shipping cost. Newbies are welcome but anyone with a no send will be removed from the list. the send out date is one week after the last day to sign up. you will have 3 weeks to sign up and fill a bottle then wait for your partner's name to arrive in your email box. please do not sign up if you are not going to send a bottle.

I do have an Idea for you though. If at all possible, I would make the send out date maybe atleast a few days later. The only reason is so that you can know what your partner wants. =) It's just a suggestion though.

I agree... it is quite a fast turn around, and even if we have 3 weeks to sign up, then get a bottle filled, (without knowing partners preferences) is too quick of a turn around... many of us are involved in many swaps, and 5 days is just not enough time... jmho

I love this swap idea....I just completed one similar, only it was a letter in a bottle. The only requirement in the other swap was at least a one page letter in the bottle...and that's all I got...a single paged letter on small stationery. A little disappointing that my partner didn't put more effort in the swap, but I'm sure the disappointment arose because of the time and effort and goodies I included in my bottle to my partner. I guess I expected something in kind, or at least something with a little more effort.

I like the idea of this swap 'cause it includes lots of goodies in the bottle!

apparently there is a new policy on swap bot...there is a waiting period of 3 days before the partners are assigned. i have adjusted the send out date to April 9.

scoutmom, your bottle is on it's way as of yesterday! I was a bit worried at the post office, but the guy at the window told me that he once had someone mail a doll arm. Just a doll arm. Not packaged or anything. Hope you like it! (the bottle, not the doll arm!)

my bottle was returned to me and will be resent tomarrow a.m.! now i can also add a few more goodies if i can get the damn thing open! sorry! i was out of town this week and thought for sure it had gotten there since i didnt get any email asking about it! now im home and it should be there in a few days ... sarah
