Description:

I am continuing the Monthly Reading Challenge that I hosted last year. I had gotten a calendar from my library with a list of different books to read, not the titles but the types of book for each challenge. I wanted to do this so I figured some would like to join me and it also would give me an added incentive. Some are easy and I have already done them but I will try do one each month. I will give a month's time between sign up and completion as to allow you to find the correct book as some will be more difficult than others. This will be an electronic swap. You will read the correct book, then e-mail or PM your partner, state the author, title and a brief summary of the book and if you liked it or not. Please remember to check your spam folder if it's sent by e-mail. It doesn't have to be long. If you had trouble finding it and didn't finish the book that is fine, just send the info and your impressions so far. This is an easy swap open to everyone but please no flakers! Also please remember to rate your partners! Any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Happy Reading! This month your challenge is to read a book that is at least 100 years old. Now you may have a hard time with this one, so if absolutely necessary (by that I mean you can't find one in your library. I know some of you may live in a small town, far from the library or have a library that has a small collection) in that case you can read a book that is set 100 years ago or more. But please try to find an old one first. These challenges are supposed to be, um challenges, LOL! Also when you send to your partner include the year is was first published or the year in which it takes place. I love discovering new authors. You can read any genre, except of course cookbooks LOL! Any questions please pm me or post here. Please if you have friends that would like this swap feel free to tell them. Please remember to check your spam folder if it's sent by e-mail.

Is it okay if it is a book written by someone who hasn't wrote in English and I'm not sure if an English translation exists?

@Bertaluise that is fine as long as you send to your partner in English so she can understand or if she can read the language that is fine too.
