Send ONE ornament to ONE person. The ornament MUST be handmade, in whatever craft you like to do. It can be papercrafted, painted, cross-stitched, crocheted, plastic canvas, or whatever. Please send something Christmasy and that you would be proud to hang on your own tree. You'll have 2 weeks once names are assigned to complete and mail your creation.

We'll do this again in August and in October.

To join, you must have a 4 or higher rating and a profile filled out. Newbies are welcome with a completed profile and a valid e-mail address. More than 2 no-sends will not be allowed. If you have 1 or 2 no-sends and feel you've been unfairly rated, contact me with the details.

If you have questions, please ask!

Let's keep Christmas with us all through the year. :)

This is an international swap.

Oh now you've done it! I want to drag out my crochet snowflake pattern book and make some! This sounds like fun! I'll have plenty of time to find my book and get moving and be ready when the swap starts. Thanks!

Karen 04/24/2007 #

Hmmm...not till you've finished that delicate doily you're working on! lol.

SharonF 04/25/2007 #

This sounds like a beautiful Christmas present! Baubles & ornaments! I'd love to be a part of it!

mutantpenguin 04/28/2007 #

Karen, the doily is done and sent! heheheh... check those comments. And if any of y'all had read my blog, you'd have seen the picture of it when I finished it WAY ahead of time. I was so excited I had to finish it early! Can't wait to see yours! :)

lob, your ornament went out today from the wilds of northern Ontario. I sent it by air, but I don't know how long it will take to get there. Hope you like it!

TerryF 06/15/2007 #

azbooklady, your ornament was mailed today (had the top stitched quite a while ago but only put the rest of it together this afternoon, just under the wire, again lol). Please be patient, mail from Canada is so slow. Thx! T.

TerryF 06/20/2007 #

Yay, I finally got one of nykaren's gorgeous crocheted and beaded ornaments - pic posted. Thx nykaren!

Karen 06/20/2007 #

Terry, I'm glad you like it. I looked at the pics and the one you made is gorgeous. I used to cross-stitch a lot but it's harder on these aging eyes than crochet, so I don't much anymore. :) I know your partner will love what you made. Karen

TerryF 06/22/2007 #

Karen, I know what you mean. I have to use a really bright light and magnifying eyeglasses to do it now. Because of arthritis, I can't knit or crochet anymore. Between the 2 of us we make one pretty good crafter I'd say! lol Terry

Karen 06/27/2007 #

LOL, Terry. The joys of aging!

nazca 07/15/2007 #

I received nothing....Is it normal? nazca

Karen 07/15/2007 #

nazca, NO, that is not normal. Have you contacted your partner? She is listed as "sent", so maybe it was just mailed a little late or is taking longer. Please contact her and then let me know what you find out.
