I love finding new creative blogs. So this should be fun!!

My blog is a travel blog with A LOT of photos on it, as photography is one of my hobbies. Does that count? Or should I wait til next time and hope I've diversified my blog a bit by then? =)

Here are the 3 stars for the blog award swap. Please WAIT until you receive all your 3 blog links from your fellow swappers before rewarding your stars. Once you have received your 3 links, check out the blogs and contact/comment your partner to let them know which star you have awarded them and why! It is then up to your partners to post the stars they have been awarded onto their blogs.

You can link the person that gave you the star if you like when you post the stars. (Also to note, once you have received a star, you can pass it on to any blog you wish, outside the world of swap-bot if you wish, you may never know hundred may receive a swap bot star!!)

I have one question :) Do we only give 1 gold star to one blog, the silver to another and the bronze to the third, or can we give 2 gold stars to 2 blogs and a bronze to the 3rd, or 3 gold stars for all 3 blogs? Does that make sense? In other words, do we have to use all 3 stars for the 3 blogs we are rating?

Yes you can award the stars as you like, e.g 3 gold stars or 3 bronze if you wish! Try to vary if you can though, but I suppose we could all end up with gold stars ;)

Oh, gosh - I am confused!!! I may have messed up already. I just sent emails with my blog address to the three people listed as my partners (in the 'See Your Partners' link). Is this right? Do those three partners rate MY blog???? Or - are those three people the ones whose blogs 'I' am supposed to rate????

Please let me know as soon as possible.

That's fine. You have done it correct. :) You should receive 3 emails from 3 different people with their blog address and it is there blog that you rate! Your email is then sent to 3 other people and they will judge your blog! Its the way swap bot asigns the partners.

just as a fyi, I'm sending my info using swap-bot's messaging system. This way I'll avoid spam filters--hope this is ok with everyone.

I just want to thank Citty Lou for such an awesome swap. I've been reading my first assigned blog (http://knitting-away.blogspot.com/ ) for hours now, and I have learned so much!! I can't tell you how much fun I'm having just reading her blog and commenting. Thank you! Stars for sure ;)

I am still a bit confused, I give the stars to the people who are listed as my partners? OR do they rate me?

The way I understand it, you message your partners with YOUR blog address, then they go and read through your blog, hopefully commenting along the way if they're nice (lol), then awarding YOU with a star of their choice.

And of course, you will receive 3 OTHER swapper's URLs (blog addresses) and you should read through those (again, remember everyone loves comments!), then reply to them and let them know what star you think they deserve.

I THINK (someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, here or elsewhere) that they people we actually RATE are those who reviewed our blogs...so maybe we are reviewing their reviewing skills? LOL

Anyway, that's how I think it works...but I'm a little confused about it too LOL :)

Hmmm... First of all, if you click on the link that says, 'Rate your partners and coordinator', it will bring up a list of who you are able to rate (with a Swap-bot rating) - which is, if I am not mistaken the ones whose blogs YOU reviewed and rated with the star gifs. Anyway, whoever the 'rate your partners' link brings up, that is your only option as far as giving a Swap-Bot rating.

Secondly, I got my three blog addresses sent to me by the three bloggers (partners), and reviewed them and rated them with the gif stars. Then I rated them with the swap-bot rating system. I realize the swap is not 'due' until Sept. 20, but how long does it take to read a blog, make a few comments and rate it? Then follow through to giving a swap-bot rating? I took my time, reading the blogs several times, and had it all finished within a couple of days. So far only ONE person has rated me.

I would like to know for sure what my blog partner's website addresses are...if they don't send them, I won't know where to go. The directions do say to send your blog address to your partner. I want to make sure I have the right ones.

If they don't send them, then they are not following the swap rules, and the swap-bot ratings (1 to 5) should probably reflect that. It seems like so many people in this swap just kind of blew it off or something.

Wanda, I totally agree with you... you know what's WORSE? One of the people who I sent my blog address to (one of my 3 partners) messaged me today to say exactly: "I am giving you the silver award.". No comments on my blog, no emails, not even more than that one sentence :( She could have at least put some effort into it and left a comment or told me WHY she thought I deserved a silver award. Good grief, is it THAT much effort for you??

And the sad part is....because she was "my" partner (I sent her my address to award a star to), I can't leave her a rating on swapbot. Boy would I sure like to!!

It does seem like some people just blew this swap off or something, Wanda. Two of my three partners sent me their blog addresses, and I hunted down the third. I'll be giving everyone their stars today.

But I haven't heard back or gotten any ratings from the three people who I sent my blog address to, which I can only assume means that they never received all three of their partners' blog addresses? Maybe they're still waiting, like I was?

Perhaps on Sept. 20, those of you who haven't gotten all three of your partners' blog addresses should just give stars to whomever's addresses you DO have?

I have been waiting to do my reviews until I get all three of my links. I only got 2 so far. However theyt have until the 20th. I will be handing out the awards I am supposed to come the 21st or so. I thought we where to wait till we got all 3 of our links anyhow?

I'm confused why the last date to sign up is the 20th but yet partners have been assigned. Also, am I to rate the three that I was assigned and send them my site address for them to rate me? I'm sorry to be dunce but I'm a bit confused...Thanks!

AND THEN that person who said "I'm giving you a silver star" just rated ME a 5. No heart, no comments, just a five. I'm going to write to her and complain. That's just rude.

Erm... are we suppose to send our blog addresses to our swap partners or just the partners we send to? Cos I haven't heard from my swap partners yet...

Hi all, first off I wanted to let ya know what's going on with me. The last couple of weeks have been a bit rough, including problems with my son at school, dh never being here due to "wonderful" job and everyone getting sick! So I've gotten behind on things including Swap-Bot. I actually did think I had sent my links already. LOL! Now where did I put those brain cells again? Anyhoo, I just sent the links earler today although 2 of my partners already rated me as I do have the link on my profile(thanks gals!) and also I have awarded gold stars to all of my partners. I thought I was breaking the rules but I see now after reading comments that's ok after all. Yayyy! Like the last blog swap I have linked to all my partners on my blog including the ones I sent to and the ones I received links from plus the host.

2nd I just wanted to say something about the things I've read. I really don't get the reason for the nasty comments here. Seriously we all have lives outside of Swap-Bot that I would guess is more important(though I suppose I could be wrong). This is supposed to be just for fun right? Please refrain from being nasty to people for reasons that in the big picture really aren't that "big" a deal! Can't we all just get along? :oP Anyhoo, just my 2 cents. shrug
