Description:

This swap is for people participating in the Stitched in Color "Bottled Rainbow" quilt-along. I'm not affiliated with Stitched in Color, but I did email Rachel to make sure she'd be ok with my doing this swap. :)

I didn't realize how many gaps I had in the color spectrum of my rag bag until I started working on a Bottled Rainbow quilt. How is it I don't have much in the way of tangerine? It's one of my favorite colors! Craziness.

If you have colors to offer, and there are colors you need, this is the swap for you! You'll need to contact your partner to let them know all the colors you have, and all the colors you need, to settle on a trade. For instance, I have red, mustard and purple. I'm going to ask for tangerine. Hopefully my partner will need a color I have to offer so that it will be a straight across trade of one color for another color. You should send/receive enough scraps to completely cover the white part of the block. If your partner doesn't need that many, that's fine, but that should be the default.

The last day to sign up is 6-22. The scraps need to be sent by 6-29.

This is my first swap, so please let me know if you have any questions!

Are we swapping the finished block or just the scraps?

I just want to clarify something for anyone who may be new to Swap-Bot: This will not be a straight-across 1:1 trade. The SB computer assigns partners, and you will not be sending to the same person from whom you are receiving. So you will need to contact your sending partner to let them know what you need; you will need to contact your receiving partner to let them know what you have.

I can't join this first one, but please keep me informed when you offer #2!

I am not ready to commit to this project but thanks for posting this because it's SO beautiful! I love the technique and the colors and well, everything about it.

If i was already rated, I'd love to participate! I love the bottled rainbow quilts and I can't wait to get started on one. Plus I'd love to pass along scraps that I don't need to for someone else to love!

TC - thanks! It's my first go at running a swap. how embarrassing. I have a lot to learn!

judee0624 -We'll be exchanging the scraps to make the blocks, not exchanging the blocks.
