Do we have to use this pattern or can we come up with our own?

Hi Heide, I think an adapted pattern should be fine as long as it resembles te original. I would hate it if your partner rated you as requirements not met because they thought you should have used the same pattern they did. That said I have never tried to make one nor have I followed a pattern before so it should be interesting!Thanks for joining the swap :)

Do we have to make the dolls in felt or can we use fabric?

I made some total crap ones. I will try again. I doubt I'll be able to make good ones. I do hope my partner will not mind. I really haven't sewn anything except Awana patches on vest since I was a little girl.

oh dear... i have no talents to make these... i wish i did.. as they are too precious.

I have a mama doll's body complete, now if I could just locate the rest of my felt, I could start the face. Oh, thank you for this one, I needed a little inspiration to sew again!!!!!

I finished my doll and its on its way to England..to Marjorie...This was so much fun to make..I hope Marjorie likes it :)

OK, I have finished mine and hope smilesandsunshine with still beam when she gets it. I played do overs on a couple of them and then just decided the little one can just look like PacMan. It was fun!

I have started a matryoshka lovers group if any of you would like to keep swapping these dolls and other similar patterns :)

Still not received from icklemissus - she hasn't logged in since March 3 - sent her a pm and email today.

My partner has been ill and says she will forward her swap to me when she gets it.
