I hope that this little message finds you doing well this morning/ night. I usually forget that you are way ahead of me in the time zones. (hahaha) I'm going into work early this morning in hopes that I can get my work done and come home and work on making some stationary. No, I haven't ever made my own yet but it would be really nice if I can. Other words I'm not very crafty but I'm thinking how hard can stamping and coloring be. we will see when I get home today.

Hello!
It is so much fun to have a swap with someone from another country! I am fluent in English and American Sign Language, and I am a retired Interpreter/Professor. I love learning about other Cultures. I'm half Norwegian, but my father only spoke a few phrases that I learned and remember. I also know a bit of Spanish, having taken classes during University, but I have forgotten so much!

Our first real snow of the season is just winding down now. I'll go out shortly, clean up some snow and then go for a little snowshoe. There isn't really enough to need snowshoes, we got about 6" and it has packed to less than 4 already, but I'll put them on and make some tracks anyway.
I'm guessing that snow is something you don't have to worry about. We, in southern Maine, will be dealing with it for the next four months. It doesn't bother me. I prefer the cold of winter to the heat of summer any time.
We have just had Halloween here. I helped our single mother friend take her three four-year-olds Trick-or-Treating for the first time. It was a lot of fun.
They didn't even mind trading in their candy for healthy snacks. They have never had candy but heard all about Trick-or-Treating from their pre-school friends and wanted to do it.
Next up is Thanksgiving and then Christmas. We get to have both our daughters here for Christmas. For Thanksgiving, out younger girl goes with her boyfriend to his parents in Texas. I suppose, as we keep telling the triplets, we have to share.
I love Celine Dion too. My mother knows French but she only taught my brothers and I a small amount of it. Which sucks because I would have loved to speak French fluently.
