I'm a crafter and hobby artist and I enjoy just about everything (gore excluded) in art and craft.

I paint, draw, make linocut prints, play with stamps, do some collage, sew, sculpt and make odd dolls and jewelry. I can't say that any one of them is more important than the other. I like all materials and enjoy things that have eclectic elements and look like they were meant to be. Currently I'm focusing on linocuts. Pulling a print is a really good feeling, it's like unwrapping a present.

My art is happiness for me; my favorite thing to do. I'm a little leery of short deadlines, so I will be looking for swaps with three weeks lead time to get things done.

Amost anything singer-songwriter, classical and international music. Currently listening to Vonda Shepard, Solas, Accoustic Alchemy, Darrel Grant, Loreena McKennit, Take Six, Mariam Makemba, Tony Furtado and Pat Metheny.

Children's books (I guess I never grew up!) and I'm rereading the grownup classics. If I want to get lost from the world I will read a good English cozy murder mystery with more thinking than gore, and pets added as part of the story is always a plus.

Harry Potter, period pieces, musicals and sci fi without gore. I own Buckaroo Banzai, The Princess Bride, Most of Shirley Temple, the Harry Potter movies and Labyrinth and they are my cocoa and popcorn go-to movies when I'm in a funky mood.

Masterpiece Theater and English series of various sorts, Sci fi channel, and Criminal Minds.

I love to be hand sewing something, a doll, a sewing case, a pincushion, an applique block, on a daily basis. It connects me to my grandmothers and gives a certain peaceful rhythm to the day.

I also love to make dolls (poly clay and other types) and all sorts of jewelry. In jewelry I'm currently working with wood to make wood and stone broaches and honing my wire skills.

I love combining media and creating something new and I love to find good and inexpensive answers to craft problems.

For my part in this, I intend to exercise a policy of kindness. Life is too short to be unkind.

I am facinated by religions and love all sorts of icongraphy, any religion is fine, but again, no obvious gore.

I like anything someone thought about and put together w/care.

I love dolls of all sorts, bugs of all sorts, especially bee and bee-themed, (except maggots) and all plants and animals.

I like things that are a little different and don't look like what everyone else is doing.

I like themes (I just get blocked when it's senders choice, so I'm not going to do any more of them).

I like lace, all colours of thread and yarn, and fabric with small sized patterens. I like fabric ribbon (and have way to much of it) and little shiny things. And tiny buttons of any sort.

I don't have a favorite colour, but I like odd combinations of colour.

I don't like gore, but I like spooky. I like surprises and humour. I like silly. I'm not a romantic, but I like pithy sayings and heart-felt sentiments. I like smartmouthed, brazen and brassy women.

I love fashion and sensibilities of the '20's, '30's and 40's and I don't like the '50's and '60's much at all.
