Hi my name is Karen and I’m in my 40’s. I’m single with one fur baby, my cat, Hannah. I used to penpal when I was younger. But stopped in College because I was so busy. I really want to pick it back up. I realize how much I miss the friendships and connections I made corresponding with people all around the world.

I live in Michigan, the mitten shaped state, in the US. I live in a suburb north of Detroit about an hour away from Lake Huron.

I love nature! I love to hike, bird and take nature photography. I’m outside doing this 4-7 days a week. I love everything about it from birds, to animals, mushrooms, to plants, flowers, trees and beautiful scenery.

I collect postcards. I especially like ones that show something about the place a person lives. This could be city scenes, churches, historical buildings, scenery, animals, plants, birds, butterflies, food and customs to name a few. I also like receiving cat post cards. I also like vintage postcards.

Anything cat related!

I love tea! I mostly drink herbal or caffeine free tea. I limit my caffeine, but for a truly awesome tea, I’ll drink the caffeine. 

I love all things vintage. Especially items with a vintage botanical theme. Pages from books, stickers, postcards, paper, washi, fabric samples, etc.

I love beautifully handmade items.

I love letter stickers or stickers/diecuts with words or sayings. Bonus if they say something nature related.

I love die cuts in general. I do not have a die cut machine so I'm always happy to get them from people who do.

I’m a huge reader so I like anything book related. Quotes, bookmarks, book or reading related post cards and ephemera, washi, etc. I love everything Jane Austen or Jane Austen inspired too.

I like to use postage stamps in crafting and I especially like nature themed stamps. Used or unused. Mushrooms, plants, birds, animals, the sea, trees, flowers, butterflies, dragonflies and bees to name a few.

Kiddie, reward or tiny stickers. Anything too childish or cutsie. Poor quality notecards, insects (except butterflys, bees or dragonflys). I don’t like pagan, withcraft, horror themes. I only like limited amounts of pastels and I don’t like anything super girly.

I'm allergic to pineapple. MSG and artificial sweeteners give me migraines, so nothing with these ingredients please. Also I have very sensitive skin so no bath or body products please.

I love reading! I will read pretty much any genre except horror and YA. I especially love Historical fiction, mysteries, memoirs and science/nature/natural history non-fiction, well-written middle grade fiction and retellings of classics from a non-main character or a different perspective.
