I am coming back to Swap-Bot. My kids are older and I'd like to participate in swaps again. I have some sporadic swapping to make-up for... I'm leaving my profile because really so little changes when you are in the throws of motherhood.

My kids are now 12, 8, 8. -- The house is still purple, the fabric that much bigger..

I am a married mother of three: A charismatic eight and 1/2 year old boy and twin identical girls who are 5

Bill and I also have two goldens-- both are just dogs now-- having enjoyed a higher status before the kids were born. The older dog is old and on her last legs. This is sad for all of us.

I live in a purple house. I love living in a purple house.

Sewing and quilting have become addictions. I love purple and oranges. Batiks. I sew often for the girls and have gone through the various sewing crazes from Origami to fabric Bowls.

I hate Dark greens. My mother thinks it is inherited. I think this is craziness.

Very few crafts are not "practiced" in the household. I knit, I bead, I draw and paint. My husband tolerates it-- and gradually gives up more and more space..

I collect stickers, fun postcards and cards (I actually MAIL my friends letters) notebooks, pens...

My kitchen is plastered with homemade artwork of my children.

I work FT in the arts but am lucky to have a consultant type work arrangement--- working out of my neighbor's garage. This affords me the odd lunch hour at home to sew. Also trips out of town to see clients. I love seeing new cities and taking my mom hat off for a couple of days.

Classical music is a passion for me--especially the modern stuff. (Yes this is the stuff people often say isn't music!) I'm not a snob though.. I listen to broadway when my husband isn't home and I clean my bathroom to Madonna. James Taylor is a favorite.

One would think when I listen to public radio it would be for music-- but not-- I love the news broadcasts care of NPR. I like being in the know. I love the liberal slant to their reporting.

I like scrabble. I am a wiz at sudoku. I have been playing and LOVING board games since I was little. One of the best weekends I had with my husband (before we were married) was when we went to an old thrift store-- bought a whole bunch of silly board games and then played them ALL weekend.

I am a cook but must admit-- have become very practical in what I serve with the three kids. That being said I experiment with fun Thai things for lunch when I am on my own.

I look forward to meeting more and more people on this site.
