IF YOU ARE IN A SWAP WITH ME, YOU MIGHT NOT WANT TO LOOK AT MY FLIKR PICS. I MIGHT HAVE PICS OF IT UP.
I PUT A LOT INTO MY SWAPS! It might not look like it to you, but I aim to please and sometimes that just doesn't work in my favor, but please know that I tried. I hate to disappoint people and it truly hurts my feelings to know that they think my swap was crap. Please talk to me and I will try and make it better. I hate that I can be so hurt, even by people that I do not know and will never know.
ALSO IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED A SWAP FROM ME PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
I am a stay at home mother of 3 kids 2 boys (9 and 4) and my youngest is a baby girl. I work with a local magazine called Darkfaery Subculture. We are still trying to get it up and running and that can be a little stressful at times, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I run the Darkfaery Girls who are basically the spokes models for the mag. Along with this I am also a paranormal investigator with my husband for our husband/wife team called Oklahoma Studies of the Unexplained or OKSU. We look for evidence of not only the normal paranormal things, but also the cryptology part, like Bigfoot.
I am also very interested in History and love to go to Antique stores to see what I can find. This last visit my niece found an old Grimm's Fairy Tales book that she got for me. It is a great book and it is surprising to see how dark the fairy tales are compared to their Disney counterparts. The thing that saddens me about the Antique stores is the forgotten family history of people, like old photos. Are there really people who don't care about their family members of the past enough to keep their images. I would never dream of getting rid of anything with family history to it unless maybe it was to donate to a museum or something.
Also for another past time I like to spend time at cemeteries in search of loved ones graves for people who have contacted me through findagrave.com. It is a nice feeling to help them out to see a loved ones final resting place that they would otherwise never see.
Music is a big thing for me. I'd rather go without a tv than my music. I can listen for hours if my kids would allow me to. These are just a few of my favorites.
HIM, A Perfect Circle, The Used, The Birthday Massacre, Kill Hannah, AFI, Aiden, The Schoolyard Heroes, The Crannberries, Skillet, Korn, Deathcab for Cutie
My favorite composers for movies are Danny Elfman and James Horner. I like others but those are my top faves.
Jeff Lindsey's Dexter series. Anne rice books, Grimm's Fairy Tales, Leslie Rule's books of Ghost Stories, Alice Seabolds books (especially The Lovely Bones).
I love books about History, mainly Civil War and early pioneering. Oh ya and the Titanic is a big thing for me.
Tim Burton Movies, His Nightmare Before Christmas is my all time favorite. Shawn of the Dead, Zombieland, Titanic, The Crow, and Mallrats to name a few.
Dexter, Lost, The Mighty Boosh, Ghost Adventures and the other Ghost shows.
I would say easy crafts. I have made church dolls and I love that they are simple and they are something that have a lot of history to them. I make block quilts, but don't like that they take awhile to do. I have made rag doll like things that look similar to The Little Big Planet guy. I have made baby food jar pincushions for my sisters from material for my mother dress, that seemed fitting since she also loved to sew.
I enjoy scrap booking but need to do it more. Well it might help to get my pics developed to do that.
I am trying to make new things all the time but sometimes they just don't turn out how I envision them.
These are things that I enjoy to collect or I like.....
I LOVE anything Tim Burton!!!!!
I collect My Little Ponies all types but love the old ones the most. I don't really like the rip off ones though.
I collect ghost toys and figures.
I love the art of Lady Heather called pur imagination and Jasmine Becket-Griffith called Strangling.
I like the kawaii stuff mainly the stuff more Goth looking though.
I am a sucker for journals and notebooks. There's just something about a book full of blank paper that I just absolutely love.
I like ribbons. I use those in some of the crafts I make.
I like yarn I use it to make hair falls.
I love different kinds of fabrics. Scraps are okay.
I love make up.
I really like Amigurumi. That actually makes me want to learn how to crochet.
I like Scrap Book paper. I even like scraps. I am sure I can find something to use them for.
I love pages from old books. I just can't get myself to pull the pages out myself so I love when those are sent to me.
I am really interested in anything to do with the Civil War and things from that time period.
I like used stamps.
I just got a new puppy named Alice and I would love to have things to give her.
Sports! I don't care for anything sport related. But that does not include the extreme sports, those I do like.
I don't like tea much but don't mind receiving it.
I can make church/plantation dolls to swap or trade for something else.
postcards ( I have a lot of postcards from the movie Legion if anyone is interested)
atc's (still new at them)
ribbon
yarn
fabric
pincushions made from baby food jars
I can also do whimsy jars with baby food jars.
I have Twilight New Moon mini posters if anyone knows a good way to ship them without it costing a lot.
a few pencils
I also make and swap Friendship books.
