LOVE paper crafts: Homemade greeting cards or mini-cards, tags, stamps, envies. Anything made with paper!

Anything not scary!!! And with a good ending...

Anything non-fiction especially world maps, geography picture books, self-help style books, for dummies books, religious (Muslim) ... Okay, well, I finally got in to fiction this year ... Murder mysteries, not scary kind though ...

Mid forties, originally from Michigan but have been a Southern California (Orange County) transplant for almost 20 years . . . Two kids, daughter 21 and son 13 . . . Married . . . Husband is RN and I work part-time at a mosque (equivalent of a church/synagogue for Muslims). Love living near the ocean (20 minute drive) . . . very peaceful to sit by the water.

I have a BS in Political Science and French . . . Don't use either much! Also speak Arabic (like with a 3 year old!)

Just came back from my 4th cruise with my husband...First cruise was to Bahamas, second to Ensenada Mexico and 3 and 4 were from LA to Vancouver, and then Seattle to 3 ports in Alaska, including Glacier Bay (breathtaking), and back to Seattle. Lovely, lovely, lovely . . . wish I could bottle that crisp Alaskan air and breath it here in smog land!

My thoughts are that you can basically find something that you like in anything . . .

• I like all colors and textures of paper, damask and arabesque designs, flower designs, texture designs, gems/bling, lace, ribbon, embellishments, tags, stamps, beach/shell themes, trees, ephemera, non-animal charms, envies, handmade greeting and/or mini-cards, doodles, vintage, retro, popular, pretty much all styles
• Washi tape!
• Anything international or cultural
• Anything related to travel (places, modes of transportation, etc)
• Different languages (especially those not using roman letters)
• Landmarks (both natural and man made)
• Trivia (the weirder, the better!)
• Board games and card games (non-gambling)
• Non-religious holiday stuff
• Nature, geography pics
• DIY stuff
• Inspirational Quotes
• Family movies (Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music)
• Stuff on the clean side (ie, not vulgar)

• No gelatin (unless kosher/halal) and no pork products
• No dirty jokes, swearing
• No references to alcohol (including wine), drugs, sex, smoking
• No statues, or pictures of statues, etc
• Kids stuff (mine are all grown up!)
• For recipes, no seafood (yuck to me!) or pork
