I am a mom of one, one year old and the wife of the most helpful husband ever. I graduated college last year swearing I'd never go back for more but here I am getting ready to try out a master's class in special education. I have wanted to be a crafter my whole life and I am finally getting the chance to try out some things.

I can knit fairly well, although I have never attempted sweaters. I like metal or plastic needles either straight or circular, chunky or small. I like all kinds of yarn but soft yarn is always fun. I just got my first sewing machine and am very slowly learning how to sew. I like to make pillows, and I will be attempting bags here soon. I also would like to make aprons, curtains, and sewing/knitting pouches. I like patterns because I like to see if I can make an item look like the picture no matter what kind of project it is. I haven't gotten into scrapbooking. I don't like fru fru stuff, I am very practical. I like yellow & green in my kitchen & dining room. I don't like dark purple. My room is going to be brown, blue (turquoise) and white. My daughters room will be pink and light green. I haven't tried crafts with ribbons and glitter yet but they are definitely something I want to use soon. I am also learning embroidery thinks to the craftydaisies web site.

Our family loves to cook. We fry, sautee, broil, you name it. We also like our fondue pot. Our favorite food network people are Elton Brown, Rachel Ray, and most especially Paula Dean.
