I am new to crafting, but I am already addicted. I am a very creative person, so like to create new and exiting things. I enjoy scrapbooking and card making and I have recently started transfering these skills into creating personalised collages in frames for close friends using photos, die cuts, ribbons and buttons. I have recently been brought a sewing machine for my birthday so I am currently experimenting with that. I have made several felt based products such as door hangers and name banners for my childrens bedrooms using lots of ribbons, buttons and sequins. I would love to start work on some cushion covers for my house when I build up my confidence with the sewing machine.
I am married with two children and work full time.
Since new year one of my resolutions has been to watch TV less so in the evenings I am turning my hand to crafting. I am a girly girl and love anything pink and sparkly.
I like things with quite a modern look and love big bold patterns. I am not on keen on dark greens and bright neon colours. I am a fan of Cath Kidston, Robert Kaufman and Michael Miller fabrics and I love the Zakka style.
My daughter is seven and is a real girly girl. She loves pinks and purples and anything sparkly, Hello Kitty, all animals (she talks about being a vet when she is older). She has inherited my passion for craft and loves to colour, draw, stick anything she can get her hands on.
My son is five and loves Ben 10, football (soccer) and any form of motorsport. He is more into playing computer games and with his transformers at the moment than crafting, but loves sticker books and colouring.
Cath Kidston, Robert Kaufman fabrics, Michael Miller fabrics, Japanese Zakka, English country kitchen style, Shabby chic look, Buttons (especially natural wood ones), Sparkles for cards, Pretty papers/card stock, Embelishments for cards, Ribbons... espeically linen look ones, Lace trimmings, Milk chocolate (cant get through a day without a bar of chocolate of some sort), handmade papers or those with a recycled look, street maps...
