I take swapping very seriously. I only do swaps if I think they are going to be fun and not get flaked on. I will only swap if I have the money and the time to get the swap just right. I have not joined many groups as I don't want to over extend myself. I will always rate and give hearts as necessary.
I am a stay at home wife and mother of two great kids. My husband works for a paper company as a service tech. I like to container garden, herbs mostly. I am in zone "7b" for seed growth for planting. Cactus are great too. I collect unique tea pots & sets, cups and coffee cups with saucers, not mugs. (I have too many mugs, my husband gets them from companies he visits with their logos on them, yuck!). Cooking relaxes me esp. chopping veggies, and getting them ready to cook. I don't bake very well but I try to make things my family will like. Cookies, biscotti, pies...
I like all types of foods, just about anything Anthony Bourdain eats I will eat, but not Andrew Zimmern (Bizarre Foods), he eats stuff I wouldn't even consider. Sushi is my favorite thing to get for my birthday.
Coffee is wonderful... My dad hooked me on it when I was young and now we stay up and talk til all hours of the night and drink coffee. Fully loaded with caffine, a little milk and a little sugar! Nothing is better!! YUMMY!!!!
Now to hot tea, love it!!! Earl Gray is my favorite, followed by Jasmine, it taste like flowers and I can't get enough. In the afternoon my daughter and I will have a "tea party" sometimes with all the good cups and teapots. I'll make little sandwiches and some sweets and she just goes crazy for it.
I love to bird watch in my front yard, I have several feeders, bird baths, and hummingbird feeders. Everything from doves to cardinals come to visit.
Just about anything will make me happy esp small things, not picky really. There are a few things I like better than others.
Duran Duran, Aerosmith, Heart, Bon Jovi, Tesla, ELO, Fleetwood Mac, Arcadia, Power Station, KC & the Sunshine Band, Def Leppard, Journey, REO Speedwagon, Bee Gees, Whitesnake, Genesis, Warrant, Foreigner, INXS, Guns n' Roses, Black Crowes, I could go on and on....
Lost is my favorite show, Life on Mars, Life, NCIS, CSI (LV), The Mentalist, Lie to Me... Some Scifi, (nothing hokie with the big huge bugs, reptiles or dead things coming back to life) Dr. Who, Torchwood, Survivor, Food Network, The Closer, Farscape, Soundstage, Star Trek (all of them), Eureka, Leverage, Fringe, Heroes, Medium, My DVR is great.
I love the Harry Potter series of books, not the movies as much. I like to read anything I find interesting at the library or that the librarian says is good. I have alot of cookbooks and love them all. Movies: Are too numerous to name, love scifi, drama, big action, some lovey dovey movies.
As far as colors: Emerald Green is my favorite, followed by amethyst, ruby red, sapphire blue, all precious gem colors.
My favorite flower is Lily of the Valley.
