I love to quilt, crochet, write, and research environmental issues.
I graduated in 2008 from the University of Washington with a BS in Conservation and Environmental biology, so I even have credentials for being a hippie :-P
I love tea
I always try to use old/garbage materials when I can. I've had a lot of luck finding fabric at garage sells and thrift stores (although not as much as the average quilter likes to keep around).
If you check out my blog you'll see what I've done with plastic bags and old socks. I'm currently thinking of things to make with cardboard tubes. They post a unique challenge because you can't really flatten them. (well you can but it takes a lot of work and the final product is all wrinkly looking). If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them!
