I am a recent college graduate, living in the Washington, DC area and working for a Jewish non-profit organization. I love sending and receiving things through the mail, which is how I got involved with Swapbot. I'm excited to get started!
My major crafts are knitting and scrapbooking, although I love learning new things! I currently also enjoy card-making, baking, and container gardening.
Indigo Girls, Dar Williams, Girlyman, Joni Mitchell, Tracy Chapman, Sweet Honey in the Rock, The Nields, Jewish and Israeli Music, American Folk Revival (i.e. Pete Seeger; Peter, Paul and Mary)
I'm a big fan of Young Adult literature, particularly fantasy, adventure, and historical fiction. Some of my favorites are the Mysterious Benedict Society novels, "Framed" by Frank Cottrell Boyce, and Tamora Pierce's Enchanted Forest series. I also enjoy poetry and non-fiction books about religion.
-Bright colors, rainbows and shades of blue.
-The outdoors and outdoor activities (hiking, canoeing).
-Gardening and all things garden-related.
-Food, cooking, recipes, and images of food (I am a vegetarian, but eat fish, eggs, and dairy)
-Stamps (postage or acrylic!) with bold designs.
-Organization, especially for craft supplies.
-Bento-box lunches.
-Anything related to the world cultures (photos or postcards of landmarks, holy sites, festivals, natural wonders; recipes, things related to holidays, fun local lore, etc.)

hi! awhile ago you participated in one or more alphabet recipe postcard swaps. I have been given permission to restart them. I am starting with "I" but I will also run, soon, a few catch-up swaps for missed letters. If you are interested, the swap is here: http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/87122. I hope you'll join!
Shalom! Have a few Hanukah swaps and sincerely hope to see you!
