I am 52, single after three failed attempts at marriage...couldn't quite get the hang of it. Displaced Oregonian desperate to return to the land of eternal rainshowers. Love animals, work with wildlife rehabilitation. Have one fantastic dog, Robin...half australian shepherd and half Rhodeasian Ridgeback, four cats...Mookie, Hissy, Tuffy, and Miss Baby, one amazing Duck named Duck, he's a Reun (domestic mallard) and doubles as my main squeeze (he thinks we are a couple...long story...he's in counseling). Have a bunch of Koi and goldfish in the pond who mostly eat and splash...occassionally they die and become fertlizer for the flowers.
Closed my retail paper arts store last spring and have been liquidating remaining things, downsizing my life, and searching for a job. Hope to relocate sometime soon.
Used to love to garden, but am getting to out of shape to do it as I once did. My favorite art is assemblage, almost anything with glass (I do stained and fused) and of course paper crafting. Not so much into scrapbooking, but will do it if forced.
A former DJ on album rock radio, I love classic rock. Especially Van Halen (but only with David Lee Roth), Neil Young, Jimmy Buffet, Melissa Ethridge, Bonnie Raitt, Bette Midler, and early Motown. The Beatles of course and the Rolling Stones...the greatest living rock band of all time.
Brazil, A Little Romance, ET, The Wizard of Oz, Something About Mary, Harold and Maude. An Inconvenient Truth. Shrek and Shrek 2 were favs and I don't think I've ever missed a showing of Dr. Strangelove. I saw Annie Hall 8 times...and oddly one of my all time favorite laugh out loud movies is Booty Call. Need to laugh yourself sick , rent it. Not into sappy girly romance movies unless they are black comedies. I totally love the weird sci fi action genre, Terminator, Escape from New York, Total Recall (actually pretty much anything with Arnold the Guvenator, loved the Alien series, and pretty much anything with Mel Gibson until he went around the bend with Braveheart and Passion (which I refused to see...read the book, knew how it ended).
I weep that my favorites are no longer on, they were: Six Feet Under, Dead Like Me, and Queer as Folk. Currently I love Deadwood and still watch the Sopranos, though it's getting a bit long in the tooth and odd in plot. I also totally enjoy Penn and Teller's Bull...can i say the end of the word? I also am into Big Love, mostly because I live in an area with a strong LDS influence and some polygamy sects near by...if they aren't doing it then they are totally doing the fashion thing. Totally weirds me out.
Mixed media, book making, rubber stamping, assemblage, collage, art dolls, polymer clay, glass work...some stained glass and currently am way too into fused glass, hope to move onto blown glass very soon.
