I'm the 29 year old mother of two little ones (preschool-aged girl, very blonde, curly, and sweet, baby boy, dark-haired and happy). In a former life I was a Developmental Psychologist doing research with kids (with, not on!), now stay at home doing my best to keep things going and quell my perfectionistic tendencies.
My tastes run to modern, mid-century (vintage 40s-early 60s), cute asian (not really hello kitty, though), flea-market-type things. I love old buttons, beads, vintage fabrics, textiles, 50s house magazines.... I do a lot of gardening, working on craft projects (in those stolen moments alone!), sewing, papercraft, knitting, painting. I seem to always have three or four projects going, and at least three times that many hanging in the back of my mind.
The favorite thing I've heard from my daughter lately, said about a neat bit of knick-knack: "oooh, I like that. that's pretty. we should make one!"

my husband and I listen to a variety of stuff--indie rock, old-timey appalachian stuff, bluegrass...and I'm always on the hung for hip, fun kids' music that doesn't ring in my ears for hours after we shut it off (at least not in a bad way!) e.g. Elizabeth Mitchell, some Dan Zanes....

I'll have to get back to this one...

oh, I have so little time, and waste too much of it here! my real favorites, though, are The Amazing Race, Alton Brown's Good Eats, any of the Food Network challenges, House Hunters, and all those house flipping/remodeling shows. Oooh, and Scrubs! I love Scrubs! And Smallville. Okay, I think that's it :)

Oh, no! Once again, this box may be too small to contain all the things I do, or at least want to try! I do a lot of crafty things with fabric (quilting, embroidery) knitting, photography, papercraft, bookmaking, pottery (though I just don't have time or opportunity), cooking, baking, housekeeping....I actually can't think of much that I'm not interested in trying out!
