A focus of mine is Paleobiology. I am also a professional author, and an amateur photographer (digital medium.)
You can often find me hard at work. Or hardly working, depending on my mood. I enjoy teas, coffees, recipe swaps, letter swaps, tapestries, antiques, vintage goods, and quilting.
I don't have much talent in making items... I can't knit (would love to learn!), and my jewelry skills are pathetic!
Jazz, blues, world music, Celtic/Gaelic music, classical, opera, techno
It's easier to say what I don't like: Westerns, chick flicks and any movie that has to use sex to sell. I enjoy SciFi, fantasy, horror, documentaries, classical films, and Monte Python.
I enjoy making quilts and tapestries, but it takes me a very long time.
My home is decorated in greens and maroons. I live in a restored Craftsman home, and the interior has the original woodwork and hardware. It's decorated with a heavy dose of Edwardian and Old World thrown in. I collect items from Europe, especially England, France, Italy, Scotland and Ireland.) I am Italian/Hungarian, and my husband is Scottish.
Having said that... I enjoy whimsy. I don't mean fur and beads, but tasteful fantasy things such as dragons, fairies, etc. I am Christian, but I'm strong enough in my faith that learning about different faiths does not upset me. I am a tad holistic, if not Druidic, and nature is very important to me.
