DUE TO HEALTH REASONS w/ MY HUBBY, I KNOW IM LATE ON MANY THINGS. I am working on getting them all together this next week and getting them OUT. I HATE TO BE LATE but seem to have a BLACK CLOUD following me around. Please be patient! Everything will ARRIVE ASAP and include extras because of the delay. Thanks!
I am a creative minded, happily married, quirky, dyslexic, 30 yr old, who loves(extra)dark chocolate and colorful sunsets. I love anything arsty, creative and expressive. I'm a pretty typical moody Cancer, if you follow astrology (I do). Recently, I've been interested in palmology and handwriting analysis. I find both simply facinating!!
I'm not afraid to put it all out there and love to learn and try new things!! I wear my heart of my sleeve and my fingers are usually stained many shades of ink or paint (or both!!). I love quotes!! My fave two at the moment are: "Life is too short to take seriously." & "Choices not chance determines destiny". Uplifting and motivational things inspire me.
I enjoy writing (letters, poems, journalling, etc)so I could never have too many markers or pens (gel ones prefered over ballpoint) and I never seem to have enough paper -- Is there such a thing? -- I'm always jotting things down or doodling or creating something or making lists. Scrapbooking paper, blank books/journals (unlined preferred), blank cards, memo pads and Post-Its are always needed and will be useful. I have always loved to color and the smell of a new box of Crayola crayons or a new coloring book has always made me smile.
RUBBER STAMPED IMAGES: I'd especially love to recv. images of quotes, sentiments and words, even random stamped letters or words you stamp for me using alphabet stamps. I'd also love artsy stamps, backgrounds, fruits/foods or realistic animals. Beachy/ocean themes or nature themes: leaves, trees, flowers... Really though, I'll find a use for almost anything!!! *Personal trades welcomed -- Leave a comment. I have lots of stamps and I'd love to share and recv. new inspiration!!
ANIMAL-WISE: Im not a real pet person but love giraffe (they are my fave and I collect them), turtles, frogs, butterflies, dragonflies and things that live in the deep blue seas.
YUMMY TREATS: I love pecans and almonds (just the nuts) and fruity candies (ex: Skittles, Starbursts, Runts, Jelly Bellys...etc). I'd be interested in trying others candies especially international ones. My fave fruity flavors are berries: raspberry, strawberry, blackberry. The only citrus flavor I like is orange -- that also happens to be my fave color! I prefer dark or white chocolate -- but IT MAY MELT on its way to me in southern Florida!! Please NOTHING sour, licorice, coconut, tea or coffee flavored!!
COLOR/PATTERNS: I LOVE bold color!!! Especially combos of orange, greens and blues. I love polka dots, stripes, distressed looks, plaids and funky flowers. I'm allergic to the color PINK and not too fond of pastles or brown (unless its chocolate). My home is mostly decorated in shades of blue (ocean themed in the bathroom, light blue and sage green in the kitchen/dining room, darker blues in the bedroom...)
OTHER THINGS: I also love colorful socks!! I dont think I have a pair that are a solid color, especially white. Im just trying out my hands at cooking/baking so cookbooks (especially diabetic ones to cook up yummy things for my husband) would be nice. I also love sending, receiving and collecting postcards and used postage. I rarely splurge on scrapbooking or rubber stamping or card making magazines, so those would be a nice treat - even if you've already flipped through them or they are not the most recent issues.
I DO NOT like ANYTHING: girly, cutsey, glittery. floral scented, any shade of the color PINK or anything already mentioned above.
80s/90s -- Chicago, Journey, Billy Joel, Christopher Cross, etc. Some country with not too much twang... Faith Hill, Martina Mc Bride, Rascal Flatts, Kenny Rogers. I also like female artists w/ attitude: Pink, Alanis Morrisette, Nelly Furtado, Kelly Clarkson and Jewel. It depends more so on my mood and the particular song and not so much on most artists as a whole. I also find instrumental/classical music a relaxing escape at times.
Once in a while I can be talked into watching a movie: Romantic comedies, animations, cop/ detective, mystery/suspence. I am NOT fond of sci-fi, horror, blood, gore or history/war or gladiator type movies.
My TOP 5 recommendations (at the moment)are: Dragonfly, Shawshank Redemption, Slingblade, Hitch and The Wizard of Oz (which is my all time fave).
Pretty much anything on TLC or the Food Network. I love to learn and to try new things. I dont watch TV much, at all -- anymore.
Photography, artist trading cards, greeting cards -- rubberstamping, scrapbooking. I'm pretty artsy fartsy and I even have a college degree in ART. Learning to knit or crochet is something I'd like to do -- maybe someday -- but I dont think I have the coordination or patience for it.
