Eliana

Heya, I'm Eliana (as my oh-so-original display name indicates)...The basics: I'm 24, live in Chicago, work in marketing. Stuff I dig: live music, trying new things (currently taking breakdancing classes and LOVING it), reading, writing, working out, brunching, and cats :)

If I had to pick a genre, I suppose it's indie rock but my music tastes are pretty bipolar...some faves: rolling stones, oasis, lcd soundsystem, born ruffians, pixies, frank sinatra, third eye blind, los campesinos, of montreal, beck, babyshambles, alkaline trio, the talking heads, wolf parade, louis xiv, david bowie, etta james...oy, i could go on forever...

I'm pretty much open to reading anything (minus sci-fi, fantasy--just can't get into it)...I've recently gotten into short stories and I'm in love with Jumpha Lahiri's Interpreter of Maladies...some all time faves include: The Time Traveler's Wife, Prep, We Need to Talk About Kevin, Middlesex, The Lovely Bones, Good in Bed, The Myth of Me and You

Since the roomies and I have gotten more economical, we don't splurge on those crazy luxuries like cable...I now watch TV one night a week when I go to my friend's house: America's Next Top Model, Gossip Girl, Dirty Sexy Money.

I like them either girly or gory...not horror gory but mobster gory...I also have a weakness for muppets and good indie flicks
