Hi! My name is Patty and I live in Florida. I was a child care director for 25 years and now work part-time in an elementary school clinic. I have been married to the same wonderful man for 35 years.I have 4 grown and married children you live here in the same city along with 10 grandchildren. I love to sew for them. I have been quilting for about 5 years now and still learning new things. My favorite color is red but have recently become fond of aqua as well. I enjoy making dresses for my 7 grandaughters and am always looking for new free patterns on the web. Love to craft too. Especially if its something cute for the kids. And I LOVE to cook. I have a large ( my kids say too large) collection of cookbooks. I am super excited to join swap-bot and can't wait to really get swapping( done 3 so far) Thanks for the opportunity. I really am into all kinds of crafts. I search the web for great ideas and then give them a try. Right now I am into making cute dresses for my granddaughters so a yard of fabric goes along way. I also like making bows for them to match their dresses and love those rag looking flowers for headbands too. I do quilt but haven't made any in a while. Been too busy with other projects. My sweet husband just recently bought me a new sewing/embroidery machine and I'm having fun playing with that. I like all colors of fabric but usually work with cottons ( like flannel too) I like hot tea in the morning--after my coffee of course but went decaf a couple of months ago so herbal for me. Don't like plain green tea Needs a flavor. I like chocolate ( who doesn't) Cute buttons can always be used on something and of course ribbon for hairbows I hope this is helpful I'll keep adding as I think of things Oh and we have four chihuahuas. Penny and Pepper--Max and Maggie Two girls and two boys. They are our babies now. WE LOVE THEM!!
I have all of Jim Brickman's CDs and most of Josh Groban. I really like to listen to thme when I am sewing or quilting. Gets my creative juices going. My husband likes country and I don't mind most of it , but I prefer something more soothing in the craft room. Know what I mean?
I read sparaticly but when I do I like Nicolas Sparks, and crafting mysteries. Also culinary mysteries. Read a three of the quilting mysteries by Terry Thayer.
Of course I like Nicolas Sparks, seen them all.And I enjoy comedies and kid movies too. I don't like scary movies or bloody ones. Yuck!! I do enjoy action/adventure if it has a good story like too.
Sewing, quilting, making hairbows of all kinds and stuffed animals for the grandkids. Found the cutest pattern for a stuffed football the other day and HAD to make it for the boys. Don't care for crocheting or knitting or hand embroidery. I'm a do it on the machine gal. Don't like hand work much. Too slow for me.
Everyone who knows me knows I collect three things. Strawberry anything, Angels and Teapots.
