40 something wife to one (very patient man), mother to 7 with a daughter recently married so now I have 8 that call me mum. Secretly looking forward to becoming a grandmother to some one day :) Never a dull moment in our humble home but amidst the everyday chaos I've managed to find/make time to pursue my love of sewing & everything crafty.

Joined Instagram Nov 2014 & have made/follow many like minded, amazing & talented creative friends. I must confess I have an addiction to IG swaps, I have participated in a few & absolutely love how they have made me push myself to learn and try out new patterns and techniques and most importantly grow my fabric stash and my crafty book/ pattern collection ;)

I love cheerful, bright to soft, modern to vintage 1930's playtime and cute novelty/whimsy fabrics. Not too keen on any smuggy dark colours like brown, bottle green, batik fabrics but I do think reproduction/heritage prints have a place with the right design and pattern and would love to one day challenge myself to make a quilt with them. Oh and I have been all Tulla Pinked out with so many lovely handmades with her gorgeous collections and would prefer not to have them for this particular swap.

Love all things handmade from mini quilts, totes, zipper pouches, baskets, mug rugs, pincushions, sewing kits, aprons, pillow cases I could go on and on. Extras are really not necessary but little handmades, fabric scraps, sewing notions and chocolate put a smile on my face :)

I have been following the Farmer’s Wife 1930’s qal but have yet to start as I only received my book not so long ago. I have no specific block that I like just yet but would like my partner to choose the blocks that they enjoy making and create something special for me.

I have a pet free, smoke free and allergies free home but sometimes not so tidy much to the dismay of that one patient man :( but I'm getting there.
