I'm 50ish, married, 5 children, living in semi-rural Indiana. I have traveled a fair bit in my life. I like old stuff. Architecural pieces are my favorite. (ie: an old porch corbel, or chippy paint finial) I enjoy making things, taking pics, gardening, making quick healthy meals, reading, penpaling, and pampering my kids, now mostly grown.
One of my favorite movies of all time...now wait to hear WHY...is Driving Miss Daisy. (I can hear my kids laughing) I like it because it contains many different issues; cultural, aging, family/relationship, socio-economic, loyalty, etc. I could go on and on. I loved it. Of course there are others, and the best would be those I shared with my daughters on our 'chick flick nights'. I enjoy spy movies (ex: Borne) and get bored with the usual menu of predictable love stories. 'Not without my Daughter' was good for many reasons also.
I make country furniture, small quilts, stationary (handmade papers, rubber stamped cards, photo cards) I like taking pics of the country side, barns, gardens, & especially drawn to special sky shots. (sunrise, sunset, sun/cloud etc) Actually since starting Swap-Bot have been doing more photography, and LOVING it.
Again I enjoy cultural things. I enjoyed Beverly Lewis's books on Amish life. I enjoyed 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' and want to read Kite Runner. I do NOT read romances.
Things I'd like to thin out: extra stampers (golf, fishing, horses, children, misc) handmade soaps.
I could use any type of embellishments, backgrounds, stamped images. I'd like stampers: collage, Victorian women, women in hats, vintage themed, feminine stuff like dress forms, fancy shoes, faces. I think you get the idea.
