I am a 36 year-old widow. My husband died in 2006 at 41 from colon cancer. I have 2 cats (Duke & Charlie) and 1 dog (Princess). They are all three varying degrees of black and white. I love thrifting, tag sales, and auctions. My niece and her family live with me and I enjoy collecting vintage books and toys for her 1 yr and 2yr old girls.
I own a 1912 craftsman bungalow and enjoy mission style and midcentury modern decor.MY house is decorated in a mixture of styles. The girls' bedroom is decorated with butterflies and dragonflies and their playroom is in the process of being decorated vintage style. The master is lilac and cream with victorian accents. My family room has a cowboy/western theme with vintage quilts and my late husband's collections. My dining room is more tuscan or parisian. Both my baths are decorated in seaside/travel themes. One is a nantucket style and the other is vintage european. My office is nautical themed as well with sailboats, lighthouses and sea treasures. I like to display vintage canisters and fruit themed items in my kitchen. I truly enjoy the look of kitchens from the 40's and 50's.
As far as accessories, I have moved away from lots of little knick-knacks. I enjoy displaying one or two larger items for more of an impact.
I have been collecting vintage items over the winter to sell at local flea markets throughout the summer. I live across the street from an auction house, and have accumulated a nice inventory of fire king, pyrex, fiestaware and other china. I also like the look of midcentury barware and decorative items.
My fave colors are pink, aqua, and red. I love the looks of 50s and 60s color combinations. I also love old patchwork quilts.

Hi- i sent your apron last week. I have NO IDEA how long it might take to reach you- not long, I hope. I didn't see your post on the site, so if your ties are not long enough, PLEASE send it back and I will fix it. I have enough fabric to make those babies as loooonnggg as you like. 8-) I like to tie mine in the front, too...
Hope you like it!
