About Me

I am a SAHM of 3 beautiful children, ages 8, 6, and 4. I have been ecstatically married for 10 years. I love to create and collect things (DH calls it packratting :D). Color inspires me along with antique and heirloom things. I like all things vintage, polka-dots, ice cream, daygowns and bonnets, cupcakes, crafting with my kids, pincushions, ephemera, buttons, ribbon. I love to repurpose items. For instance: DH old blue jeans are made into clothespin aprons. Favorite color by order: green, blue, pink, white, ivory, gray, red, aqua, lemony yellows, soft oranges, peach, ok, ok, I just love color. But green and blue are my favorites (today anyway tee hee.

Favorite Music

My taste is music is very eclectic. I like gospel music (Donnie McClurkin, Shirley Caesar, John P. Kee, Celine Dion, love, love, love, Harry Connick Jr.

I LOVE TO READ! Francine Rivers, Nicholas Sparks, Kevin Leman

Jane Austen movies, The Passion of the Christ,

Favorite Crafts

Oh boy! Where do I start? Heirloom Sewing and Smocking are my first loves. I love creating heirloom Christening gowns and daygowns that will be passed on and loved by future generations. It makes me feel like I am leaving my mark on the world. I also like to crochet with thread, not yarn. I have recently fallen in love with knitting socks. There is something about the amazing colors and soft-as-butter merino that melts my heart. I also like to make cards. My daughter and I have been bonding over our card making sessions. Quilting also runs in my blood. I love antique quilts, appliqued quilts, tiny pieced quilts.....well you get the idea. Hand Embroidery is my absolute favorite thing to do with my hands. I love seeing thread form a picture and come to life.

Comment: I really love the mushroom hair barrettes. By unfortunate events, the envelope arrived opened (probably by the post office) and the adorable embroidered book arrived damp from the rain, notebook is replaceable anyway.I will use it and cherish it any way. The bag is very cute and love the embroidery on it. You really put a lot of creativity into everything. It was a very nice package.

Comment: I received your package for the 'I really love to make swap' and while the goal was to create something you really like to make, I can't express how offended I am. I suppose if I really liked to make swastikas or dildos I would have the good judgment not to send them as I might enjoy making them, but my partner probably would not enjoy receiving them. I'm guessing you are of an age to realize these things and if you had taken one moment to look at my profile - this would have occurred to you. I am beyond appalled - I can't believe how little tact you had for this swap.
