As a former teacher and GS leader, I deplore the trach that masquerades as literature for tween and teen girls -- and I am even less fond of trends like the Bratz dolls, which simply foster the same mentality. Our 2 girls (now 42 and 44) were never allowed to have Barbies because of the blatant consumerism they promote -- they had Madame Alexander girl dolls with realistic pre-teen figures instead. (And they were also easier for Mom to sew for, too!) But it sounds like you made some good choices -- I love Hank the Cowdog! ANd thanks for the tea, the ornament and the origami tips. I don't have a troop anymore, but a friend leads my granddaughter's Brownie troop, and one of my former Senior Scouts has a Jr/Cadette troop, so I will pass the hints along. Happy swapping!

Comment: I can honestly say that consuming that Fun Dip \'candy\' powder whatever was one of the worst experiences of my life.
