Response: Yes, the building falling apart around you is a concern while touring old buildings! This one, I think, is kept up more, made for tours, so probably a lot safer! When I watch ghost investigation shows, I always think of all the dust and mold they are inhaling, too! :( Thanks for the heart!

Response: I first watched Indiana Jones in school - our English teacher would have us watch different movies and then write essays on them, take notes on the movies, etc. I didnt' care for the Crystal Skull movie. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I"m fine with pasta/tomato sauce or BBQ sauce, but I can't stand ketchup or mustard at all. Even the smell makes me ill. :( Not a huge fan of sauces in general, though. I'm quite the picky eater!! :) Thanks for the heart .
Response: Thank you for rating and for the heart :)

Response: I think jokes are the best messages for PC's :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: I got a card from someone who had typed out their message onto labels and used that for the message and I thought that is such a good idea, since my handwriting is so bad! Thanks for the heart!

Response: Thanks for the rating & heart!
Response: My dad always told me stories when I was little, usually stories of him and his brother when they were little and getting into trouble. :) But sometimes he'd tell me stories he'd heard from his parents/grandparents, too. Not as funny as a pig eating part of a sock, though! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for rating
Response: I had Mental Health awareness stickers for years and loved them, but can't find more. But I did find the stamp, at least it shares the same message. :) Thanks for the heart and rating !
Response: I'm so glad you like the swaps! Every time I find more postcards in my stashes, I have to post more swaps! :) haha Thanks for the heart!
Response: The Garfield and TY USPS stamps are 2 different stamps - I just found the Garfield one on Etsy and try to use it as much as possible. :) I think I saw one other like it still for sale on Etsy. I bought the USPS one back during 2020, can't remember the shop. But I've seen lots of stickers like that for sale too. Thanks for the heart !
Response: Thanks for rating.

Response: My husband loved those movies, and I thought he would have to go away for work, so I bought the cards to send to him. Then he didn't go, and I decided to move them on. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: it gets so dry here in the summer, I figure they might need it. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm worried I'll find out I'm allergic to the cats - I think my family would re-home me rather than the cats! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Haha, yes, that was many years ago. I doubt anyone would try that hard to deliver a letter anymore. But there are still those stories about postcards from WWII finally being delivered, so who knows! Thanks for the heart! :)
Response: I'd never heard of it before, either, and I agree with you, I wouldn't want to encounter it at all, ever! I like cats, but I think I'll pass on cactus cats! :) THanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: I am so very happy to hear you liked the book! I knew I'd never even fill half of it, so I was hoping to create something that you might want to add to, and I happened to have some travel themed scrapbook paper. I used glue tape to attach most of the items, so you should be able to remove the stickers and things to use, if you'd like to. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the rating and heart. :) I never got into Star Trek, but my husband watches some of the shows. I know enough to tell Star Trek from Star Wars and from Dr Who, but I'm pretty limited overall!
Response: So glad you liked the washi. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, I agree it's a neat holiday. I also love to honor and remember a loved one's memory. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Haha, yeah, that's one I prefer to never duplicate! Planets must have been misaligned or something! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I don't like to buy the round International stamps very often - they're really expensive to buy in a sheet, and can only be used for International mail, so I usually use regular stamps to equal the amount. Even though I don't collect stamps, I know lots of swappers do, so might as well make the package a little extra special, right? :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: I always loved doing the research with my mom. But it is nice to use modern technology! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Hope you had a good time with the swap. :) Thanks for joining, and thanks for the heart!
Response: We have so many letters flying between us right now! haha Thanks for the heart :)
Response: One reason I enjoy the postalette swaps so much is to see all the different varieties of the little notes! I don't usually look for vintage stationery (allergies make it tough) but it's so much fun to see all the different varieties! Thanks for the heart!
Response: I re watch Supernatural from time to time, but this came back to mind when I heard an interview on a podcast with Michelle Belanger, and she described her experience with creating a tulpa with the Paranormal State crew. The Kindred Spirits episode is pretty good, too. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Haha, thanks for the heart :)
Response: I love the idea of the laser light shows! I hope more cities adopt that. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Haha - I should have sent extra for her. :) Was it the cryptid washi? I found all that on Etsy. My daughter writes some letters, but doesn't get into all the goodies like I do. :( Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I've heard the cons are a lot of fun, would probably be overwhelming! :) My pal said they were a lot of fun and really silly with the photos and everything. I'm a bit jealous. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: No problem :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Your story start wasn't like the type of books I typically read, so it was a bit difficult to figure out what I could say. I hope you liked how I continued. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm still a little creeped out by UFO's. We lived at a military base that supposedly had the Roswell 'remains' and that was just a strange place! The base is pretty haunted, too. TAPS/Ghost Hunters did an episode there! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you liked everything. It was fun to de-stash a little extra and share! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Haha, thanks. Glad it got there. Thanks for rating.
Response: I wasn't sure at first, either, but they are interesting as an option. :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: Glad you enjoyed it :) I don't do much coordination with my envelopes - I like to keep my pen pals wondering what's inside.
:)
Thanks for rating
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I think the letter went a bit too long! Hard to keep track with all the smaller sheets. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the heart!
Response: I had a really hard time finding other authors for options. I think the other I found was the Twilight author and just - no. The books that looked interesting were hard to find. :( It's not bad to read something different from time to time, though. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you liked what I sent. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Well, that's why I stopped there. It could be a ghost, or could be like a time portal, she could be going back in time, that sort of thing. Or it could be an intruder - a few options. :) I couldn't decide, so you can. :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Now I'm trying to remember which stationery I used for the letter! :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Always great to catch up with you :)
Response: Haha - yeah, it's the roller skates. I never could master those! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, they really are. There are a lot more varieties than I ever expected!
Response: Oh wow, you really binged Supernatural! :) I started watching it on Netflix in 2012 I think, so I got to go at a slower pace. But you're right, there's a lot of development in the characters. I'm hosting a Supernatural fans swap right now, you might want to join. :) I read Educated a few years ago - that's one that I'm glad I read it, but it's hard to rate because wow, it's a lot! Like The Glass Castel by Walls - have you read that? Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Your swaps are clearing up a lot of my extra paper! It's great! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: I'm so glad you liked what I sent. :) And so happy I could also make your daughter happy - I love encouraging children to be involved in snail mail. :) Thanks for the heart, and let me know if you'd ever like to do a private swap!
Response: I have loved Garfield forever & hoard everything Garfield I can find! :) AT least I can share the stamp! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: Maybe we'll be paired up again. :) I seem to get a lot of the same partners. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks again for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the hear t:)
Response: Glad to hear you liked what I sent. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: Oh no! A body bag! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for rating
Response: Thanks for the heart!
Response: So happy to hear you liked what I created and sent! I was worried, it's been several years for me. Thanks for the heart! :)
Response: I have a feeling that there are a lot of legends out there of animals that we just don't hear of very often, but they pop up in fantasy type novels and movies. Isn't that were most of Disney films come from? :)
But really, I've heard that there are still a lot of histories and lore that were just never written down, passed by word of mouth, even still today. It's easy for a story to be edited or changed in that way, and harder to know what the actual origin was. That's why I love folklore so much - there's just so much history! :)
Response: It was really an interesting book. Not only the story itself, but the way it was written. I might have to go back and revisit that one again soon. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: You got a lot of mail from me all at once, didn't you?! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Northerner Exposure is a fully under appreciated show! And it's not streaming anywhere - I have to rely on DVD's, so I don't get to see it as often. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm a big supporter of Mental Health Awareness. I think it's just as important as physical health, and when the stigma is removed from 'getting help' or 'seeing someone' (and we change the usage of words like crazy, psycho, etc in our casual conversations), we can be happier, healthier, more productive people and society. And I think that mail is a great billboard - it's handed and seen by hundreds of people by the time it's delivered, so a little reminder that Mental Health is important can go a long way! :) I had a much better message written, but SB decided to eat it. Sigh.... Thanks for the heart! :)
Response: OK, I'll let her know. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: I can't remember which I sent you, but most of my cards are from larger groups. I ended up with so many, it's good to use them up! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart - again :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating :)
Response: Glad you liked it. It's nice to use up some of that washi - there are so many designs, much better to share than sit in a box! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: My goodness, I couldn't take 115*F! We've gotten up to the 80's & 90's a few times this last week and that's too much! Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. I can't remember why I decided to join that swap, but I did want to add more details about the victims than the killer. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: The cat one was hard to find! I have one other design that is "stuff on cats" - real photos people have taken when they put things on their cats. I tend to hoard those a bit more! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Good to know! Thanks for the heart
Response: HOpe you get to enjoy them. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Oh, good! I was worried I'd done it wrong. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Meow Meow! Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad to share the SPN cards! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you liked what Isent. :) Thanks for the heart
Response: That is so odd! I used a mailing label and covered over it with tape, so that's a mystery for sure. Glad it arrived, though! Was there the bar code on the bottom? That might have helped it get to you! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I seem to collect odd note paper. I think it's left over from days of making Friendship books. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the rating & heart:)
Response: Thanks for joining the swap! And for the heart :)
Response: I am trying to figure out what I sent you - I can't think of Harry Potter pages. Hmm... Thanks for the heart
Response: I've always loved fairy tales - sometimes it's nice to go back and revisit collections. :) Thanks for rating.
Response: I really had a lot of stickers to use up! :) The Kansas plate was from a batch of Supernatural stickers, and I think there are a few from Dr Who as well. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. HOpe your summer is going well!
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: I hope you enjoy it. I liked it quite a bit. Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks for rating :)
Response: Thanks for rating :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I didn't vary my letter much, did I? Sorry about that. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I can't remember which paper I used for that letter, but I've found 'dearestnicky' and 'creative paper studios' (both on Etsy) have really nice paper that works with fountain pens. I think La Papierre sells some that is fountain pen friendly too. IT can be a trial and error, for sure! :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Yes, you got a bit of mail from me, huh? :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Of all the things I wish I still had from childhood - I miss Miss Piggy! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :) We've heated up since I wrote out the card, hoping it doesn't go up too much!
Response: So glad it arrived safely. Hope it was fun. Our temps have gone up a bit, but not terrible - yet. I'm ready for a cool summer, please! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I think this is my new favorite thing. :) I love looking at pictures of other neurographic art people have done, on Instagram, too. I did worry a bit about it getting wet or damaged in the mail. Glad it arrived. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: We meet again. :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for rating.
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :) I think I got that stamp on Etsy from Sniggle Sloth. That's where I buy most of mine from b/c the selection is amazing! :)
Response: Thanks for rating.
Response: Good to hear from you. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Supernatural is available on Netflix - LOTS of folklore, monsters, paranormal stuff. Great show, I just ended up with far too many postcards from the show! haha
Response: Thanks for the heart. Glad you liked the jokes. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. I love the Supernatural show and have collected all sorts of memorbelia from the show. I think I Found the postcards in a set of 100 on Amazon, but I've bought some notecards and things from Hot Topic. I started joining PC swaps just because I wanted to use up the Supernatural cards, among others, because I don't find fans often enough to use them. I even have Supernatural washi tape! :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. I have a hard time enjoying newer shows. I guess streaming services were made for people like me. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :) I tend not to read popular or well known books very often, so few people are familiar with what I'm reading. haha
Response: I was disappointed in the book. It sounded a lot better than it was, I guess. Maybe it's meant for people who aren't really fans of ghostly, paranormal or thriller types of book. IT was ok. I do read thrillers, and I'm trying some sci fi and fantasy. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating
Response: My kids never liked watching tv or movies' when they were younger. Not so much now, either. But they will watch you tube. I'm of the tv generation. Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: thanks for the heart :)
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: thanks for the heart :)
Response: thanks for the heart :)
Response: thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks. And small world! :) Madigan is a huge hospital here. I Think I've heard from a few who were born here.
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: I can't do reading challenges anymore - I feel so much guilt if I don't read books only from the challenges - ugh. :( Thanks for the heart
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: thanks for the heart
Response: thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you! I really appreciate your kind words. It was a lot of fun. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I started watching Supernatural on Netflix around 10 years ago. Technically, I haven't finished b/c I got a spoiler about how it all ended, and just haven't watched the last 2-3 episodes. I love the research they did for the monsters and folklore in the show, so I do go back and re-watch old favorite episodes. I went on a bit of a buying spree and bought the postcards, notecards and so on, and have very few people to send them to! So I thought an anything-goes postcard swap might work out. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Take your time, I'll be here. :) HOpe you are having a good intro-to-summer. :)
Response: I so love ghost anything, but that ghost post office tape is adorable! I think I found it on Pipsticks - I should have ordered more! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: I know, right? Cartoons of our childhood lied so much. We watched an old movie from 1981, "Time Bandits" the other day, though, and what they were talking about with computers and technology seemed on track - a bit spooky in that way, too! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: I find water spirits a lot scarier than land spirits. I'm terrified of water, though, so I figure that has something to do with it, but like you said, you never know what's below the surface! And I'm glad you aren't tired of my cryptid and spirt reports. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: WE lived in Spokane in 2003-6 and now on this side of the state since 2019. I like it here more. :) We're house hunting now and looked at some in Olympia - looks like such a nice place! We see aircraft ALL. THE. TIME! Both planes and helicopters - even saw a tank on the road once - that was new! We are usually just on Air Force bases. haha Thanks for the heart :)
Response: One thing I find extra interesting about swap bot is finding people around the world that you have things in common with. So many folks here I read their profiles and think "we'd probably get a long really well in person!" :) Thanks for raing. :)
Response: Reading so much about different monsters and cryptids and so on, there does seem to be a lot of overlap, and overlap with fairy tales, too. Wonder which came first? OR what inspired what else? Hmm! When I think of all the time I spent, walking around the forest as a kid, all alone - and that thing was out there - scary! haha Thanks for the rating & heart. :)
Response: I'll have to look for that book. And I've never heard of the Mongolian Death Worm! Might have to look that up it sounds ... awful! haha!
Response: So glad you enjoyed the book stickers. :) I've been hunting for book/reading themed washi, stickers, cards, paper and I think I have too much now. haha I'll have to look for Lessons in Chemistry. :) For my BOTM selections, I usually either go for a debut author or an early release title, especially if it's a mystery. But I'm trying out some romances now and then. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: My daughter tells me all the time that I'm 'haunted, but in a good way'. I guess I am. I never really would have thought of my mom and music together, but there are a lot of songs that I associate with her. :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: Glad you enjoyed the swap and the card :) They never have enough room for me! :) Thanks for rating & for the heart :)
Response: I"m glad to hear you enjoyed what I wrote. There is a lot of interesting folklore worked in to many of these traditions. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm just glad it arrived at last. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: So glad to get to know you. :) I look forward to exchanging many great swaps with you in the future too. :) Thank you for the heart :)
Response: The Ghost Belonged to Me and a few other series were favorites when I was little. They are fun to re-read, when I can find the books. Your book sounds interesting too! :) Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: I hope you enjoy Book Lovers. I don't read many of that sort of book, but I do like her writing style. :) Thanks for the heart !
Response: I think I read the first book in the Changeling series as well, but haven't finished it. I'm working on the Jane Jameson series too. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: So glad you enjoyed the swap :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: IT's good to keep in mind what the audience is for any book. It's something I struggle with when I pick up books sometimes. Glad you enjoyed the swap :)
Response: It's been a good chance to get to know you through the swaps. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: There's a book I read a few years ago called "Jinn and the Golem" I think, and I think that was an interesting depiction and different from the Disney versions of the characters. I'm still confused about Jinn, but it gives me something to research I guess! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It's funny to read or watch things from the 'old days' and remember how different things have become. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I firmly believe that any book you are forced to read as an assignment will have bad feelings. haha If I were ever assigned Agatha Christie to read in school, I wouldn't even like mysteries now. :( Thankfully, I just ended up disliking Huck Finn! Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the rating & heart. :) Hope you are well!
Response: Hope you enjoyed the book! It was ... different! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: No, those books aren't good night books, but I thought they were really good. Even if not fully true, I still think it can give an insight. When I read more serious books like that, I usually have something light, like a cozy mystery, to read for a break. :) Thanks for the heart !
Response: My pharmacy is in the local grocery store, so I still have to go in to pick that up and I hate it so much more than before! It takes time to put the orders in online, but it's handy to make sure what I actually need and not just what I "think" I need! :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: I've had that happen with other books I thought I really loved, ones I read a s child & go back to and it's like "What? This isn't the same book!" haha Oh well. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'll have to try the werewolf series again. I don't usually read stuff like that, but I really enjoyed the mystic bayou one, she's a funny author. :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Glad you liked the stationery. I think that was a printable download from Etsy. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating & the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: AF & military in general postcards are sometimes tough to find! I was excited to find these & bought a bunch, but am almost out. :( Glad you like the card I sent. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I listen to books while I'm falling asleep or trying to get to sleep, so some weeks I go through them extra fast!
Response: Hope you are well! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I try to ignore the holiday ads and things, but sometimes it's just too much. I'd gotten 8 mother's day ads before 6 am this morning, so it's really out of control!
I got the Mental Health stickers at Oriental Trading - that online/catalog party store place. - they have good sized rolls of stickers for not too much cost, so it's easier to use and share them. :) IT's harder to part with those special stickers that are smaller amounts! I saw those a few years ago and thought 'more people need this message, and if I put them on the outgoing mail, more will see it!' so I've been doing that. :)
Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'd never really heard much about black dogs until I watched Supernatural. I guess I focused more on ghosts and the like - or maybe Unsolved Mysteries didn't talk about black dogs. :) That's another source of my paranormal info from younger years. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I still buy CD's. My family things I'm silly, but my car still has a CD player, and I don't need wifi for them. haha :) Imagine Dragons has a new album coming out this summer, if you want to watch for the songs on streaming services. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Oh yay! I found something new for you. :) I don't remember reading it before, either, but I'm sure that I have. I have a few books of her poetry. Her and Edgar Allen Poe - odd collection, right? :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: I'm glad you liked the stationery and could understand what I was trying to explain to my daughter. :) I wish I could remember where I found the stationery print, online somewhere. :) Oh well. Thanks for the heart ! :)
Response: This year I learned that corned beef for St Patrick's is an American thing. The Irish in the US couldn't find the - lamb, I think? - that they traditionally ate, but learned of the corned beef cut (apparently it's called 'corned' b/c the salt that was originally used to pack and keep the beef fresh looked like kernals of corn!) so they used that instead. Who knew?! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the rating & heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Letters are always a good way to relax. :) At least in my opinion. Thank you for the heart - and I love to receive your letters in swaps too!
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Sounds great! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I avoided King for years because he "was so naughty". Once I finally tried his books, I fell in love with his writing and have been a Constant Reader ever since. I highly recommend his books as audio books too - it's great to read them, but King has said several times that he feels that some books are best when read aloud. But, yeah, huge fan! :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you for the rating & heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It can be easy to miss an email rating. No worries. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Aww, thanks. :) And thanks for the heart :)
Response: I haven't been reading as many of the popular authors/books - aside from Christie - so they probably are less known.
Response: Murder in Mesopotamia isn't one of my favorites, but I do find it interesting as I also have an interest in archelogy (and was discouraged from exploring the interest, similar to how Agatha was.) The one podcast I listen to (Shedunnit show) talked about her archeology days & books and so I re-read the book. It's certainly different from "Mysterious Affair at Styles" or any of the others, but still good. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I did not know that about the German! So I just learned something too. :) Someone told me this year that he's also the saint for bees and that is what made me think - what else don't I know about holidays? Might be a good idea for a swap! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It's an interesting podcast. I also love Lore - that's more myths and stories, but also good. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Quality over quantity. :) Hope March was better.
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm not sure if it's "fan" or "obsession" - guess it depends who you ask. :) She had an interesting life.
Response: Hmm, seems like a common theme. I always remembered it, though, so I guess the 'seed was planted'. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad you enjoyed the post card :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Yes, the pinching thing was new to me. I always hated green as a kid, so I would be black & blue after St Patrick's! haha Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: I'm so glad the recipe was useful. :) Sometimes it's easy for me to forget that not everyone has access to some of the ingredients. :) In my family, in the spring & summer, we ate a LOT of fresh veggies, and fall and winter were more meat based. I still tend to cook like that. I hope the recipe worked out for you. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Oh I LOVE Prague!! I have only been once, a LONG time ago and would love to go back! (My dad's family came from near there.) I was surprised to learn all the details about Golem with Prague b/c I've read Czech lore and history for most of my life and never heard it before!!
Have you heard of the book The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker ? I read it a few years ago & remember it being very good. Glad I could inform & entertain. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you for the heart :) Happy St Patrick's day :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart! Happy St Patrick's day :)
Response: Happy St Patrick's day :)
Response: Thanks for the heart! Happy St Patrick's day :)
Response: Happy St Patrick's day :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy St Patrick's day :)
Response: A bit too many - I have a hard time choosing :)
Response: Thank you for the heart. :)
Response: Oh, I have lots to learn yet! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: I got the first book as a freebie from Book Bub years ago & it's my favorite series. Not everyone loves it, but I look forward to the new one each year! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I've heard from others that Harry Potter were the books that taught them to really love books or get into reading. Or like you, they were the same age and got to 'grow up' with Harry. So I can understand why that would be pretty special. For me, none of that applied, they were just the books we listened to in the car and gave me something to talk to my kids about for a while. I grew up with Judy Blume and Beverly Cleary. :)
And Brother Bear is totally underappreciated!! Same with Hunchback of Notre Dame, Emperor's New Groove (& Hercules, for that matter!!) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I"m glad you overcame the worries, too, and joined in so I could 'meet' you. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Been great getting to "know" you through these swaps. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating :)
Response: I don't know, maybe one day. :)
Response: Just arriving now? It must have had a nice vacation! haha With all of the side vacations our mail is taking these days, it should be relaxed & well rested. ;) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: If you can find it, get "The Original Folk and Fairy Tales of the Brothers Grimm by Jacob Grimm, Wilhelm Grimm, Jack D. Zipes (Translator)" copy - the cover is a dark brown with a woodcarving like illustration. VERY good and not at all what you expect! :) My kids loved it! Hard to watch Disney's Cinderella the same after that, but - it's worth it. :) The audio version is well done, too. :) The original Arabian Nights is an experience as well! - haha!!- Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: It was a bit underwhelming compared to yours! haha Thanks for the heart
Response: That's great! My son left yesterday - I'm still weeping. :( Gonna miss that kiddo. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I think the Frozen cards prompted frozen weather. :( Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It's really one of my favorite books. If you can find the audio, Lynn Thigpen does an amazing job, too. :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Def too many! I could open a store. haha Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I hope you enjoy it when you get to read it - took a bit for me to get into the story, but then I couldn't stop. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'll have to remember to include more when I am next partnered with you. :) I think my outgoing mail is going to get ... interesting. I just got some 'different stickers! Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I had to order my copy online, but I found a used copy and it arrived fairly fast. I found it interesting overall - and remember to check out Martha Washington's recipe in there, took me a while to figure out what it was for! haha Thanks for the heart .
Response: I'm a bit of a paper junkie - linen is great for fountain pens and heavier inks, but it adds up pretty fast, so for longer letters, it's got to be thinner, lighter paper and ball point. Oh well. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, I thought the benefit to streaming services was to watch a bunch at once. Now I'm noticing that some are going to weekly releases of newer shows - boo! haha I mean, that's just like watching TV - some have commercials too. Oh well. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Over my lifetime I've seen a change in Valentine's day - it used to be more of a couples romantic holiday when I was little, but now it seems more of a friendship day. Ah, evolution. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad you liked the card. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad I could add to your Frankendecks. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I guess our letters/mail know the route so well now days, after so many swaps, they decided to sight see along the way. :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: DId you get your mail all at once? I have at least 3 times this month. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Great :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: We must be magnetic :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: That was quicker than I expected! :) Thanks for the heart
Response: I think I might get whiplash from all the changes so far this year, but that's life. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I like both of those books, but it's been a while since I've re-read them. Might be time to re-read them. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: About half way through! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating & the heart :)
Response: We lived on the military base and my kids went to school on base. It looks like the elementary school has closed or merged with the middle school, so the base must have downsized since we were there. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: That's great! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Overall, I usually enjoy cooking. I just get tired of doing SO much all the time, I think. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It does sound long! IT was interesting though. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy valentines day!
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy valentines day
Response: When my kids were little, I bought used Little Golden books whenever I could find them and collected SO many - and read every one to them at least once! :) I kept some favorties, but donated the rest. Just too many to keep. But they are still favorites. And I love that line with the note cards, post cards, sticky notes and all. :) Glad you liked the card and thanks for the heart! :)
Response: I'm sorry you're having a hard time but I'm glad the reading was accurate! And, aren't the cats just great? :) The 'devil' card for that deck is a Golden Retriever and the 'death' card is the vacuum. :) Very funny. :) I hope you have a GREAT week. Thanks for the heart! :)
Response: My goodness mail is moving slow, huh? I'm glad it arrived, though, and that you enjoyed the swap. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for theh eart. Happy Valentines!
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy Valentines :)
Response: I'm glad you liked my swap. :) I don't get creative like that often (usually it's too expensive to mail!) but I'm glad you liked it. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy Valentine's!
Response: Everything here is so pretty! I'm originally from Michigan, so all the pines are reminiscent of that, but MI was never this pretty! I just wish I wasn't so allergic to nature, and could get out and enjoy it more! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm glad you liked it - I was worried it might not be Halloween-y enough. I've found, especially the last few years, that I really love that old re-printed, out of register stuff too. Some of the newer patterns that are printed wrong can be good too, though. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I think postage stamps are probably the perfect gift or tuck in for swappers and letter writers. :) Thanks for the heart & Happy valentine's day!
Response: Thanks for the heart. :) Happy reading!
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy valentine's day!
Response: Thank you for the heart. Happy Valentine's day :)
Response: Glad you liked the stickers. :) I'm happy to share! I never had a guinea pig, but I did have hamsters when I was younger. They're so cute!! Thanks for the heart. :)

Response: The 'should reads' really ruined me last year. It's a constant challenge too! Hope you have a good reading year. :)
Response: Thanks for joining the swap. I hope you enjoy the recipes. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: You are very welcome. Thanks for the heart & Happy valentines day :)
Response: My grandma had a Yorkie that I loved so much. :) Glad you liked the stickers. Thanks for the heart and Happy Valentine's day! :)
Response: Glad you liked the swap. I might continue it through the year. :) Thanks for the heart :) :)
Response: Thank you for the heart. Happy Valentine's Day :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy Valentine's . :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Krampus is a bit difficult to find, I found the cards and rubber stamps on Etsy. I wish I'd gotten them earlier to really decorate my outgoing mail for the month. :) Look up the Yule Lads, too - they are rather interesting! :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad you liked the card. :) Thanks for the heart
Response: Yes, the coffee cake saved the day! Thanks for the heart ;)
Response: Maybe the kinder Yule Lads can visit your classroom this year. :) There are some folk tales from Japan I'm looking forward to reading - they're only newly translated. I can't begin to imagine what might be included there! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :) Happy new year.
Response: yay! When I get a reading that seems SO MUCH like 'me' I wonder if I'm focusing on the other person enough! Thanks for the heart ;)
Response: Thank you for the heart. Happy new year. :)

Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy new year :)
Response: Happy to hear you enjoyed the card. Thanks for the heart. Happy new year! :)
Response: So glad to hear that. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Mine was too, and I finally sat down with alllllll of my books and discarded a BUNCH so maybe I can find some great reads now, rather than all the bestsellers that everyone says I 'have to' read. :) These swaps are dangerous, though, for sure. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm excited to watch the show, I've only seen the first 2 episodes. It was a good book series. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm in a slump still. I guess I have other things to draw my attention. :) Thanks for the heart.
Response: Glad you enjoyed the stickers! I'm glad to share. :) Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy 2022!
Response: I was happily surprised by Interview with a Vampire. I avoided that book for decades! But it was better than I thought it could be. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Game on, the Stephanie Plum book? It was just another part of the series. I don't know why she brought Diesel in, other than she needed something different to write about. I don't enjoy them as much as I used to - I used to laugh myself silly! Oh well. :( Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for your rating and the heart. :)
Response: It sounds really impressive, doesn't it? In looking at the titles, though, there were so few I could really recall, it's sad. :( Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart & happy new year :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart. Happy new year :)

Response: Glad I could provide a laugh. :) Thanks for the heart and happy holidays!
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy holidays!
Response: Our house is a circus. haha!! Between the pets and our individual interest, it gets creative. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Krampus is my new favorite. I tried to put up a Krampus in front of the house, but the housing area asked me to take him down. :( Sigh ....
Thanks for the heart and happy holidays.
Response: Glad I could find your likes. :) I have so much tape, I must have something from everyone's likes at this point. haha :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy holidays :)
Response: Thank you for the heart. Happy holidays!
Response: Thanks for the heart & happy holidays!
Response: Glad you enjoyed the funny card. Thanks for the rating and heart! Happy holidays
Response: I recently heard that Christmas is the ultimate for blended holidays - traditions for different beliefs and times in history blend together for each family in the way they celebrate. Interesting way to look at it. Thanks for the heart and happy holidays :)
Response: Hope you enjoy the recipes. :) I'm trying out some new ones this week - a bit nervous! :) Thanks for the heart and happy holidays :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy holidays
Response: So glad you enjoyed the swap. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy holidays :)
Response: Thanks so much for the messages.
Response: There are a lot of good stories out there that don't get enough attention, I think. :) It's fun to pull them out for swaps like this. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for rating. Happy holidays :)
Response: Thank you for the rating & heart. wishing you a happy Yuletide season. :)

Response: I've had a hard time settling into any book lately. :( Hopefully this will pass for both of us soon. Thanks for the heart. I hope you have a great holiday season.
Response: Thank you for rating. Happy holidays!
Response: Thanks for the heart & happy holidays!
Response: After spending so much of my life in snowy places, I think I am loosing track of time with no snow. haha But it's sure nice to not have to scrape & shovel!! Thanks for the heart. Happy holidays!!
Response: Thank you for the rating & heart. Happy holidays!
Response: Thank you for rating. Happy holidays!
Response: I've only seen 2-3 episodes of His Dark Materials, but I want to watch it all when we've finished the books. The books are - wow! We are listeneing to the audio and following in the text and I think it helps me understand the fantasy aspects. The audio version has a full cast, too, and the author does the narration of the in-between bits, so it's really, really well done. I would recommend it! I can see how some would be put off or offended a bit by some of the material, but it's really a good story. :)
Response: Thank you for the rating & heart. Happy holidays :)
Response: Thanks for the rating & heart Happy Holidays!
Response: I'm the baker in the family, too. Some years it is more fun than others. :) Thanks for the rating & heart. And Happy HOlidays!

Response: I probably will soon, it's just been a long time since I've had a slump. :) That's ok, though. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: So glad you liked the card. The glitter cards ARE pretty, but wow do they make a mess! haha Thanks for the heart & Happy Holidays!
Response: Happy holidays. Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Thanks for the heart & Happy holidays!
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart & happy holidays!
Response: Pumpkin cheesecake is really amazing (in my opinion!) Can't make it this year - found out my daughter is allergic to dairy, so I'm having to adapt all of our holiday recipes, and I haven't figured out cheesecake yet! Darn it! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Thanks for the heart!
Response: Fanny was probably a very common name at one point, but I admit I'm glad I wasn't named after Grandma Fanny. :) Thank you for the rating, and for the heart :)
Response: There is a You Tube video from Monstrum/Storied about the Yeti and Bigfoot. It was pretty interesting! Hopefully they are more like in the old movie, "Harry and the Hendersons" than an angry black bear. :) Thanks for the heart
Response: I hope you both get to enjoy the smoothie :) The Betty Crocker website actually has a good assortment of smoothie recipes, some very easy to make. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Like you, I will probably burn all that I write! I haven't done really well with daily writing, but I keep trying. :) Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :) Happy holidays
Response: Thank you for the heart. Happy holidays!
Response: Thank you for the heart:) Happy holidays

Response: Thank you for the heart :) Happy holidays
Response: Yes, I'm usually happy just cooking for holidays - even christmas! I'm not one to decorate much, and shopping? Ugh! :(
Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thank you for the heart :) Happy holidays
Response: Thank you for the heart :) Happy holidays!
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy holidays!
Response: I think I did read that Darcy Coates is from Australia. She does a great job of making the setting very universal - places, terms, etc, the books could be in just about any country. She has a LOT of books, too! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :) Happy holidays
Response: A few years, when my husband was gone during the holidays, I just got a small turkey breast for dinner, ate some leftovers and froze the rest. Not the same, but not too bad. Now I make the turkey breast in the slow cooker with carrots and potatoes and gravy, so it's kind of a one-stop meal! Very handy! Hope you have a nice holiday :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :) Happy holidays!
Response: Happy holidays!
Response: Thanks for the heart :) Happy holidays!
Response: I hope you love the cookies! I used imitation flavoring for those cookies, but I thought they turned out really nicely. I've made them both with the pre-made cookie dough and one of my sugar cookie recipes and both worked well! Thanks for the heart & happy holidays!
Response: To be honest, it might just be me. I haven't enjoyed many newer books lately, and I'm pretty picky about books dealing with witchcraft and spellcrafting and the like. It didn't work for me. Hopefully, you'll love it if you read it. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: To be fair to the book - I've seen lots of great reviews, so it's probably just a 'me' thing. I am pretty picky about books containing casual 'witchcraft' or spellcrafting. Also, I haven't enjoyed many newer books in recent months, so it's probably all me. I hope you get the book and love it! :) Thanks for rating!
Response: Those cookies are dangerous for me - I love them so much! My mom did too, so I always think of her when I make them. Thanks for the heart and Happy Holidays!
Response: I avoided middle grade books until I started listing to them with my kids, when they were much younger. Then I discovered that there are some really, really good books out there for younger kids - and got SO jealous for kids today and all the great books they have to choose from! haha We are very slowly watching the Golden Compass TV series from HBO now and it's really good too. so if you're around littler ones, it might be a good time to try it out. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: Small world! I meant to look up to see where your town was when I addressed your card and forgot. We live on the McChord side of the base and are currently overrun with deer! ha! Madigan is a huge hospital! For a base, at least! :) Thanks for the heart. :)
Response: I saw today someone commented that the reason people (Americans) enjoy Halloween so much is that it is a holiday to spend time with friends and having fun, being silly, rather than the holidays that revolve around being "forced' to spend time with family and buying gifts. I wonder how true that is? It has certainly gotten to be a LOT more popular in the last 20 years!
Response: I'm sorry to hear you are going through 'stuff' but am glad it wasn't me messing up the reading! I hope you are doing well and feeling better, continuing to feel lighter again. :) Thanks for the heart. ((Hugs))
Response: Yeah, the package didn't have any marks on it as to where it was hanging out - I used a flat rate mailer, one of the document ones, so maybe that's why it didn't get to you? Who knows? I kinda think it was here at our base PO b/c they sent me a coupon for postage reimbursement the next day. It's a mystery Scooby Doo! Most of those are things I picked up when we stopped at hotels for the night, rather than places we have actually gotten to go to. :( Thanks for the heart :) And it's good to know it actually arrived - this time! :)
Response: I bought a breadmaker a few years ago and still use it a lot in the fall and winter, when we have lots of soups and stews for dinner. But our houses usually seem to be too chilly or drafty to get bread or yeast things to properly rise. :( The bread maker makes it SO much easier! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I am a fan of Supernatural! Some of the monsters they fought I thought were well researched and I'm a total nerd for the lore. :) Dean's pretty cute too. ;) I never really liked all the 'monsters' and all that, or vampires, aliens, etc, but you can't avoid them, I guess!
Response: I much prefer Grimm Brother's to Mother Goose, I think. :) I read fairy tales/folk lore from all over the world, and I think Grimm's are still my favorite. Not sure what that says about me ... :/ Thanks for the heart!
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I actually just got the book back from my daughter and read it over last weekend. Very good! I plan on ordering the next book soon. Our library doesn't have the books, but I have suggested the series to them, maybe more can try them out. :)
I haven't read regency romance, but I do read quite a bit of historical fiction - think I'm a bit 'burned out' on WWII eras, though.
Do you ever try audiobooks while you're gardening? I like to listen to the birds sing when I'm outside, but there are some very nicely narrated historical fiction books. :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: That book is very memorable to me! haha There's a movie based on the book, but the book is so much more - detailed, involved - wow. haha I've read most of that author's books and he's had quite an interesting life! I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm glad you got the re-send! Hopefully the original one will show up some time. :) Someday, in a fairy tale, all our lost mail will find us and we'll be buried in old letters and happy mail packages! :) Thanks so much for being patient. And thanks for the heart :)
Response: IT was far, far, far too many books. I think several I skimmed a bit of - it seems like any book that is marked "thrilling & unputdownable" will be boring and loose my interest! when will I ever learn!? Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I've lost track of time, too. Keeping monthly book lists is probably the only way of marking time! Thanks for the rating & heart :)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the card. :) Often times, history and hauntings overlap so much, we don't stop to think about it! Well, maybe not hauntings exactly, but tragic events. Some parts of the US have seem so much trauma, you can barely take a step without being on land where someone died. :( I can't help but think some of that energy remains.
Response: Glad the letters arrived! Thanks for the heart, and thanks for joining in! :)
Response: Yeah, I read way too much. I can only remember a few of the story lines now, so I need to never do that again!
Response: I do remember the Shirly Temple Little Princess! I think I liked The Secret Garden more than Little Princess, but both titles were frequent re-reads or re-watches in my childhood. I think I added House of Mirth to my re-read list too. :) I'm glad you like the idea for the swap. I listen to a podcast called Shedunnit, about Golden Age Detectives (specifically female authors) and the host mentioned that she had read a detective novel from each decade and then compared how the story lines changed and so on. That's where my idea came from. I might actually have to try that for myself sometime. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, it was a lot. Too much. I had a huge list of books and totally binged and honestly only remember 1-2 books from that list. :( I do not recommend that many books in a month! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you kiddos liked the stickers. :) I haven't watched as much Steven Universe, but the rest of the family can recite facts about the show! Seems like a nice show and more involved than at first glance. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I thought those were cute too. :) Glad you liked them. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Overall, I liked "Fallen" more than I expected to. And glad you liked Steven! :) It's quite the story line. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Did this card only just arrive? Good grief, I hope it had a nice vacation wherever it was! I'm not much of a fan of Corned Beef or Shepard's pie - I tend to go more for stew or pot pie, which I suppose is just about the same thing anyway! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I hope you have a great summer too! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Had to use the Halloween stamps! :) Actually, I used those on my christmas cards too. :) haha Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Thanks for joining the swap and for the heart :)
Response: Look forward to swapping with you more in the future. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I hope so too. :) I've discovered there aren't a LOT of newer books I really, really like. I tend to get over excited when I find one. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, your support does count! :) It just got to be a lot to balance and manage, just didn't work right now. That's the problem with hosting. But eventually it will all work out. :) Thanks for the heart and for understanding!
Response: I tend to get over excited when I find a book I really, really like. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :) :)
Response: Thanks for doing the swaps. :) april was a bit of a tough month with all those letters, but a lot of fun. :) Thanks for the heart :):)
Response: I listen to a lot, for sure. IT seems like they all come available at once for me. :( Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm much more of a 'stressor' than a 'relaxer'. Really don't like that. I used to be more of a mood reader, but with ARC's I feel an urgency. I still like the program, though. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: This time, I was amazed, too, when I got that list together. I listen to a LOT of books, though. So grateful our library makes that easy! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed the swap. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you liked the cards. Thanks for the heart :) :)
Response: My husband and kids joke with me that I'm like Sherlock Holmes, reading profiles and detecting who may be a military family .... They like to tease my love of mysteries, though. Really, until you live the military family life, I dont' think you really understand what it's like to move and move and move and start over just as many times. And it affects so many different parts of life, too - like doctors, mental health providers, dentists and all the rest. Thanks for doing the swap, and thanks for the heart :)
Response: I've gotten a lot of comments on that journal design - I may have to print some more. :) I bought it to cut apart and use as stationery pages, but it made a nice little journal too - could be a signature in a larger book as well. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: So glad you enjoyed what I sent. :) Thank you for the heart :) :)
Response: I hope you can find some good documentaries to do some 'armchair traveling'. :) I think I may be addicted to them. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I'd meant to go with the theme in the page I linked, but then found that printable and I just loved it too much! haha Yes, I love ghosts and spooky images.
Joe Hill is a master! Right? I'm still haunted by Heart Shaped Box - but it was a GOOD story, not just scary! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I hope your son is ok! Allergic reactions are no fun. I've spent a LOT of time in hospital waiting rooms with my kids. Really, hope you both are doing much better now. :)
Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I think my journal pages end up more like letters than anything else. I don't seem to know how to switch that 'off' :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yeah, I would have happily skipped the whole thing! Oh well, live and learn and all that. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Most of my printable stationery came from Etsy artists. It's nice to have options AND support artists! Thanks for the heart!
Response: Glad I was able to send you something different. :) Thanks for the heart!
Response: So, I like to put the Tim Holtz paper dolls in odd places around the house to spooky my kiddos a bit. :) IT's a bit of a 'pay back' from times my daughter 'haunted' me with her American Girl doll. :) :)
And Duma Key - OMG, I love that book! I've read it a few times and listened to the audio at least twice. Not only is Wireman THE BEST character, but King's description of brain injury is just so spot on! My son has gone through some similar issues and when we listened to the book together, he said "wow, he gets it - that's what it feels like" That book is just SO much - the characters, setting, description, plus ghosts and hauntings and history and - wow!
I"m glad you enjoyed the swap, and I thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)

Response: Thank you for rating :)

Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked the Dolly Parton card. :) I grew up listening to her music. :)
My grandmother also had beautiful handwriting - my mom, not so much! Me? Even worse! But at least we learned handwriting in school - my kids did briefly, at one school, but the next school didn't continue it, so they struggle a bit. Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for joining the swap series. :) And thank you for the heart :)

Response: Growing up in the midwest of the US, it seemed like everyone had the same few names. Moving around more, and through the internet, I'm learning so many different names, and have 'met' a few who go by a pen name or a name of their own choosing. Either way, you have a very cool name. ;) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I feel like I'm falling behind the past years. :( Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Glad you liked the postcard. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I still drink too much coffee, but I'm drinking tea now, too. I assume herbal tea is better for me than coffee, right? I am not a fan of black tea or green tea, which both have caffeine. Oh well.
Response: Holiday stuff is put out so early now days, I expected to see lots out in Feb. Even now, I'm only seeing Easter stuff now. Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Glad you were able to enjoy the card. I have a serious phobia of owls, so I understand that some images aren't welcomed. :) Thanks for the heart. Happy Valentines!
Response: Yes, I'm addicted to her cards! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I ordered my USPS rubber stamp on Etsy. I've seen a few different designs on Etsy like it - our mail carriers call me the 'rubber stamp lady' now, as I put it on ALL of my outgoing mail! haha. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. :) Happy Valentines!
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Mt Rainer is amazing. I hope to try some of the trails, maybe they'll be re-opened this year. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I haven't won them over yet, but am still trying! :) THanks for the heart - Happy Valentines!
Response: My daughter is a scarf knitter as well. We've joked about stitching them together to make an afghan. :) Who knows, it might come to that! ha! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: So glad you liked the card. :) I don't think I have anymore, but will take a look. I do like the Victorian style ones, when I can find them. :) Thanks for the heart. Happy Valentines!
Response: You had just rated from a previous round, and I saw your note, so I thought I'd add a few extra jokes for your son. :)I remember enjoying jokes like those as a kid, but my kiddos never did. Oh well. :) Thanks for the heart & Happy Valentines!
Response: OH, I'm glad you liked the alpha stickers! Glad someone can enjoy them, too. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I started reading Good Omens, then I just knew that the whole family would enjoy it, so I stopped reading and we started listening to it together, and the narration was so good! Really added to the effect, since it was a bit 'too British' at points. I thought it would be enjoyable - I mean, Neil Gaiman!!! - but we all enjoyed it so much. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you liked them :)
Response: My husband loves the sweet potato recipes. I should probably make them more, and experiment a bit with add ins. If you try anything like that, please let me know. :) Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Yes, I'm curious to see how that movie goes. The newer Murder on the Orient Express was good, but I think I enjoy her books much more than the movies/shows. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart. Happy Valentine's !
Response: Hope you enjoy the recipes. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Happy Valentine's :) THanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you didn't have any of those cards. :)
Response: So glad you enjoyed the swap. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I adore David Tennant (and must talk about him too much b/c my husband gave me a framed drawing of Tennant as a birthday gift, which was a bit of a shock!) and I can't wait to see him play Crowley. But I also watched Supernatural, and on that show, Crowley was played by Mark Sheppard (another actor I enjoy) and I loved that character SO much on the show, I struggled picturing Crowley as both the Supernatural version and David Tennant! haha I admire the acting range Tennant has, though, so I'm sure he'll do an amazing job. :)
Response: Yes, maybe too long. :) When someone asks me 'how do you write a letter?' or "why do you write letters?" it stops me because it's just part of who I am, if that makes sense. It never really occurred to me to not write letters. (and I've been teased plenty about that, too!) I've been a letter writer more of my life than a reader, which most don't believe.
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: I saw Good Omens on lists and recommendations for years and wish I'd read it so much sooner. It was a lot of fun, and all 5 of us enjoyed the book a lot. Horrorstor was unique, right? :) I certainly got a different story than expected, but I keep an eye out for that author now. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for joining the swap. :) THanks for the heart :)
Response: Happy Valentine's Day! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad to hear you enjoyed it. : ) THanks for the heart!
Response: Happy Valentine's day
Thanks for the heart :)
Response: We haven't visited Mt Rainier yet, we moved here just before the pandemic started, and the trails were closed for a lot of last year, so we haven't seen it up close and personal yet. But it's an amazing sight when we catch a glimpse! It's not Pike's Peak (we lived in Colorado Springs for a few years and saw the Peak every day!) but it's still very pretty. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I fully believe they multiply. It's awful. Then again, they are a lot easier to ignore, and most of the 100 on my list were freebies. But I'm highly suspicious of ebooks ....
Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I know! I realized I seriously binged on dear Agatha this month! I even found a few podcasts that talk about Agatha or Agatha and similar authors. And have been watching the tv shows. I guess I may as well discard all the rest of the books on my shelf and just admit it's all Agatha, all the time! haha! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Oh wow, sorry it was so late! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad you liked the card, and that your son has a new joke. :) Happy Valentines, and thanks for the heart :) :)

Response: We haven't finished it yet, but it's been a lot of fun so far. I'm curious to see how it all ends. :) I saw the series on DVD at our library, maybe you can find it too? I've been waiting to watch it. :) THanks for the heart :)
Response: Hope you enjoy them. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating :)
Response: I've always felt that letters are magic too. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I hope so as well! I'm not off to a great start, but that's ok. :) THanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It's an odd allergy - I seem to collect a lot of those! haha Oh well. Makes me look for new and different recipes! I thought I included a few non-dessert recipes as well, but maybe they didn't copy. I'm sorry about that. I thought I'd included a few dinner salad recipes as well. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It can be nice to mix things up a bit. :) Thanks for the heart :) :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :) Happy Valentines day!
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I loved Choose your own Adventure books when I was a kid, and found a couple last year, and they fit the category pretty well. It was fun to re-read those and make the choices through the books. It was fun & relaxing to read those - might need to read a few more to start the year! ((Hugs)) thanks for the heart :)
Response: **HE** thinks he's very cute! he even likes to take selfies (though they are usually of his ear, because he touches to button with his nose!) :) He was in the right place at the right time. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I didn't like Christie for a LONG time, but now I'm totally in love with her writing. The audiobooks really grab me, too. :) She really was a master! :) And the Plum books .... eh. I've read them all, but after book 8 or so, it was just the same thing again and again, or so it seemed. There doesn't seem to be any progression in her character or the story line, which I find annoying. Some long-term character lines (the In Death series by Robb, the alphabet series by Grafton) actually have character development, and they're wonderful. I think I keep reading the Plum books just so I can read when it ends! haha. They're easy to get from the library, too, so no danger of actually having to pay for the book. haha
Response: Great to hear :) Thanks for the heart:)
Response: Far too many books - I can't recall them all. :( Net Galley ARC's were my biggest temptation last year! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Isn't it wonderful to avoid the grocery store like that? Why didn't I try that years ago? I could have had a happier life! haha! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Glad to hear the group is helping you, too. It's keeping me on track still too. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I do have a love for statistics, but I'm terrible at keeping track of everything. Which no one seems to believe about me. I love organization and planning, but I'm rotten at keeping track of things! Oh well. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the heart! :)
Response: Yes, it is! It's a little different from the movie, of course, and finding the book was HARD. But it was interesting to read. It was always a favorite movie as a kid, though hard to find or watch. (growing up before streaming and DVD's was rough!) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Cats & books do seem to go together. But he was laying on the table because it was warm, not for the books. :) Our dog, actually, is the 'book hound' here - she loves to sniff any and all books - and mail - that come into the house! She's even 'stolen' books or mail from me to super-sniff them. She's an odd one! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I am a bit worried that my goal is too ambitious - especially the way I feel right now! ha! But we'll see. :) Thanks for the heart. Happy new year!

Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Happy holidays and thank you for the heart :)
Response: Aren't libraries just amazing? :) Thanks for rating, and the heart :)
Response: I miss my old library - it's changed buildings now, so it's not even really there anymore. Sad. :( But at least the military libraries are often alike, so we can have 'home'. :) Thanks for the rating and heart :)
Response: Yes, it's good to have a good book! Thanks for rating and the heart :)
Response: I hope you are still able to have a happy holiday season. :) Thanks for rating, and for the heart :)

Response: Yes, it's nice to spend time with a favorite author, isn't it? :) Thanks for the heart :)

Response: Actually, I don't think I'll finish my stack this year, but that's ok. I do hope to have some fun re-reading the Choose Your Own Adventure books. They were always a favorite as a child, because I could re-read them so many times! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: It was a really invoved, detailed story. If you like fantasy and world building, I think it would be an excellent books. I struggle with fantasy like that, so it was a bit of a tough read for me, but I did really enjoy the writing style and the amazing world she built. If you're up for a 1000+ fantasy novel, I would recommend it!
Response: Thanks for rating and for the heart :)
Response: I thought it was a fun book, and it took place in the area where I grew up, so it was fun to read it for that reason, too. :) THanks for the heart :)
Response: Sounds like we have similar taste in books. :) Thanks for rating, and for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating and for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the rating, and for the heart :)
Schwab writes for adults, YA and middle grades. I like her middle grades books, but haven't liked the others as much, not sure why.
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, Lord of the Rings was rather epic, but took me FOREVER to get through. I don't know why I have such trouble with fantasy like that, but am totally OK with mythology, but there you go. :) Tom Sawyer was better than I expected, and I'm going to add Huck Finn to next year's plans, I think. He's written much more than I thought!
Response: yes, that was the interesting part of my family tree! Wish I still had a picture of them - I don't think I appreciated it enough as a teen. I enjoyed hearing your experiences with voting, too!
Response: I'm glad you liked it. :) I think people stopped making afghans because they are so time consuming! haha But, keeping my hands busy with the yarn kept me from phone scrolling - or eating! - so that was probably a good thing! Paper is SO MUCH easier to work with, though! haha! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for rating & for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for rating & for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the rating & heart :)
Response: All this year, I've wished I had a copy of that picture of them in the jail cell. :( I'd love to share it with my daughter. They were interesting ladies, from the stories! thanks for the heart :)
Response: Oh my goodness, I feel like my TBR list is a mess! haha I add titles to my list, but don't add physical books very often - need to control that, too, though! thanks for the heart :)
Response: We didn't get to try the maze, sadly. I hope you like Mexican Gothic when you get to it. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thank you for the heart :)
Response: Taking my time with the book probably would have been a better idea - and probably a different yet (this one is getting to me!). But I do plan to re-read it again in a few years, because it was quite well written! Thank you for the suggestion. :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Please don't feel guilty! I did enjoy the book, and the world building. I always struggle with fantasy type books, but do usually end up enjoying them. Maybe because I work harder at them? Earlier in the year, I read a few long classics, and in mixing in regular books, too, those books took 2-3 months to finish. I just didn't take as much time with this one, and focused on just that one book. It was nice to do something different, too. So, I did enjoy the book. :) And, at over 1000 pages, it was almost equal to 3-4 'regular' books! :)
Response: Thanks for setting it up. And thanks for the heart :)
Response: I wish I still had the photos my mom showed me. I think she had a newspaper with their picture on the front page - 'public enemy #1'! haha That is, by far, the coolest part of my family history! :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Hopefully we'll be better prepared for next time, right? :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: That's great to hear! I do miss going out to eat and getting hot food (rather than it being luke-warm by the time I'm home to eat it), but overall, I just keep thinking how fortunate we are to be living during a technological age while having do deal with the pandemic. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, I think this year has been a big humbling for me, at least. Thinking of what I took for granted, but also all that I have as well. Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I don't use Hoopla as much as Overdrive, but I do use that as well. I also have 4 different libraries I can tap into with Overdrive! haha Thanks for the heart.
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: My daughter reminded me of another one - "Coraline" by Neil Gaiman. It's a kids book, but it is so wonderfully & deliciously creepy! Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Yes, I'm much more Victorian Halloween, I think. Though, I do also love the idea of Día de los Muertos as well.
Response: Just think, if we lived near each other, we could trade books back and forth! It could get 'dangerous' as my kids say. :)
Response: It might have been my little town that was behind as well - the books were certainly called "teen" at our library. Lois Duncan had some of the spookiest books, too! :)
Response: Audiobooks tend to add up quite quickly! haha
Response: I wish Evanovich would go back to the Wicked series she started a few years ago. I liked that one, but she only got 3 books into it. I think maybe she could end Stephanie and continue with something else and people would still automatically buy them. I mean, look at Nora Roberts! haha!
Response: Yes, there is a lot to dig into with that book! It is heavy reading. But I agree, kids today aren't scandalized by cursing.
Response: No problem. :) Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart
Response: I wonder why other countries don't have a day for thankfulness? It's a nice day for reflection. :) Thanks for the heart, and thanks for being part of our little bookworm family!
Response: I didn't realize the author had passed away! :( I really need to make an effort to read the rest of the series, the fact that I haven't yet almost haunts me, because I loved Shadow so much. Thanks for the heart
Response: Blackwell has a few series, I think. I didn't care for the others, but I love that Haunted Home Renovation one! I think it's over now, though. :(
Response: Most of the reasons for banning books are just silly, to me. I honestly can't think of a time I've read a book and thought "woah, no one should read that!" For me, I think a 'warning' would be better. But the whole process needs to be updated, I think. I can't think of how I ever could have grown up without Judy Blume! Same with Beverly Cleary - the Ramona books are on the lists too, and that's just beyond dumb to me.
"The Absolutely True Diary ..." is certainly not light reading! wow. I mean, it was good, and I'm glad I read it, but wow!
Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
Response: I may enjoy James Marsters narrating more than Jim Butcher's actual story, I'm not sure. But I've mostly enjoyed all of the Dresden books so far. And Killing November .... eh. I'm not sure I really like that author all that much. I listened to her previous books, too, and I'm not sure I would have really even loved them when I was a teen.
Response: Thanks for the heart :)
